Emma:

It was now Tuesday morning, 6:38 am. I was woken when I heard a commotion beside me.

I looked up only to see a girl, around my age, blonde hair, and blue eyes, staring back at me.

"Um.. Hi, you must be my roommate?" she asked quietly. Obviously I'm your roommate you dummy. "Yeah, I'm Emma, you are?"

"I'm Dani, sorry for waking you."

"It's okay, I was supposed to be awake anyway, so thanks I guess."

Today classes would actually be starting, how exciting. Note the sarcasm. I got out of my bed and pulled my timetable out of my bag.

I had a world religion class at 8, and a English lecture at 11. Well that doesn't sound so bad.

After giving Dani one last smile, I grabbed some stuff and headed towards the bathrooms. They were co-ed. Of course. I mentally rolled my eyes at the college cliché and walked in.

There was a bunch of girls standing in front of the mirror - gossiping, by the looks of it. As soon as they spotted me they ceased talking and stared at me.

What the fuck?

"What are you looking at?" I snapped, and they immediately looked away, scoffing like I'd broken some law or something.

I got into a cubicle, shut the curtain and turned the shower on. Forgetting about the stupid girls and letting my thoughts wander back to the night before.

I'd stayed at the house for a while, just chilling. We played some games and shared a few laughs. I was really grateful that I'd gotten lost yesterday, otherwise I would have never met Luke. He really is a great guy and I can tell he's going to be a good friend.

I started to think about the other guys too. They were all so nice and welcoming. I found Ashton a little weird, he didn't talk to me, all he did was stare at me. It creeped me out, to be honest.

I turned the shower off and dried myself off, putting on my outfit for the day; Black skinny jeans and a floral tank-top. I never really try too hard but i think everyone should be happy and confident with the way they look.

I walked over to the mirror, glad to find the skanks gone and began to put my usual make-up on; Mascara and eye-liner. I never thought I needed foundation, my skin was tan and I didn't really get pimples. I guess I'm like my mom in that way.

After I was done getting ready, and put my stuff back in my room, i was walking towards the building that my World Religion class would be in. As I walked into the room, I was happy to see that Luke was also in this class.

"Hey" I smiled brightly "Mind if I sit here?"

"Oh god" He said "Please do not sit next to me, I might catch your disease." he groaned, holding back a laugh. "Oh yeah? And what disease is that?"

"Cooties, Em. I don't want your girl cooties." His face was absolutely blank as he said that, until he broke out into loud laughter, causing a few of the other students to stare. I laughed with him and sat down.

"Well, Luke Hemmings, excuse me for being awesomely girly." i was still laughing when I felt someone sit in the seat next to me. "Hey Emma, Luke." He nodded at us. "Hello Ashton Irwin"

Why did I just say his full name? He chuckled at me and pulled his book out, writing the date at the top of the page. "What is your last name anyway, Emma?" he asked me. "Oh, uh it's Montgomery." i stated. "Well, you look great today, Emma Montgomery." He said while smirking. "Uh. thanks?"

Luke let out an awkward cough. "So Ash, are we practising this arvo?" "Yeah, I guess so."

"Practising for what?" I knew what the answer was probably going to be, I just wanted to make sure. "We're in a band" Luke stated proudly. "We kinda suck" Ashton added, making me giggle and Luke nodded in agreemant.

"I'm sure you're great." I smiled. "You should come along and find out for yourself?" Luke suggested, raising an eyebrow and looking to Ashton who nodded. "I wouldn't want to intrude." That was a lie, I really did want to see them practise. "Don't be silly, it's just me, Ash, Calum and Michael." Luke laughed. "Okay, I'll come."

Our conversation was interrupted when a man walked in and took his place at the front of the room.

"Hello students. Welcome to world religion. My name is Proffessor Johnston, I hope over this semester, we can get to know each other and hopefully learn some things about life."

"Wow, what a doofus." Ashton stated. "What do you mean?" I asked him. This proffessor seems nice. "He just looks like a doofus." He replied.

"Don't judge a book by it's cover" I said quietly.

"I could say the same to you, Emma Montgomery."
