Marco's POV:
We finally arrived in the hospital and I was still carrying Ate May in my arms and we all ran inside
"Please can someone help us!!" I shouted and a bunch of nurses and a doctor came to us, they got a stretcher and they got Ate May from me and put her on the stretcher. They rolled her to a room and we followed them but the nurse held us back
"You guys need to stay in the waiting room" The nurse said, and she went to follow in the room. We all just couldn't stop crying, we went in the waiting room and we just waited there, we couldn't stop crying, we all just wanted Ate May to be okay. A few minutes later Tita Lorna came in and she saw us and ran to us
"What happened to my daughter?!" She asked while crying
"Tita we don't know what happened because we were just watching a movie and she stood up to go to the kitchen then she just screamed Marco's name and then when we got to the kitchen she was passed out, and we immediately brought her here and called you" Kisses said while she was still crying, I just hugged her.
"Babe everything's gonna be okay, remember, Ate May is a strong girl, she can handle anything" I told her, and she just couldn't stop crying, even I can't stop crying. I mean we all love Ate May we don't want to lose her, Tita Lorna was just crying and Yong was there to comfort her.
"Lord please take care of my daughter, I won't be able to handle it if I lose her" She said, and we all just looked at each other, we held each others hands
"C'mon lets all pray for Ate MayMay" I said, and that's what we did. We prayed for her health and to keep her safe. Please Lord we don't want to lose Ate MayMay. About like 30 minutes passed by the doctor came out of the room and we all looked at him
"Umm Doc I'm the mother of the girl, what's wrong with her?" Tita Lorna asked, and the doctor just looked down and then looked at us
"Has she been having headaches and stomach aches lately?" He asked, and we just nodded
"How about body pains?" He asked, and we nodded again
"Does she have a hard time breathing sometimes?" He asked, and we nodded once again
"Well I'm really really sorry to say this but your daughter has leukaemia, and we have to keep her here in the hospital for a few days before she can go back home, but her sickness would still be there and her symptoms will occur, but I'm sure she wouldn't want to stay here, so I would give you the medication she needs and you can do it in your house. You just have to make sure that she has someone with her all the time, so that when one of her symptoms occur, you can do something. I'm really really sorry" The Doctor said and went back inside the room, we were all just silent. Ate May has leukaemia? Why? She doesn't deserve this. Why?! We all just cried more, I sat down on the char and just stared off into space. This can't be happening, specially not to Ate MayMay, she doesn't deserve any of this.
"This cannot be happening to my daughter, I can't lose her" Tita Lorna said, and I just got up and hugged her, they all got up and joined in
"Okay lang yan, Ate May is a strong girl, she can handle this" Aizan said, and we all nodded, but we couldn't take in the fact that Ate May is sick and that she has leukaemia. Do we say this to Edward? Well we'll have to ask Ate May.
*THE NEXT DAY*
After school we immediately went to the hospital to see if Ate May is awake, and when we did she was awake and she was eating, and when she saw us she was smiling at us
"Hi guys, how's school? Did I miss a lot?" She asked, and we all just smiled at her
"You didn't miss much" Kristine said, and she just nodded her head
"Oh sige I'll leave you guys first I have to go get some clothes for MayMay, she has to stay here for two more days eh" Tita Lorna said, and we nodded our heads. She kissed MayMay forehead and looked at us
"You take care of my baby okay?" She asked, and we all smiled at her and nodded our heads
"Of course po Tita, we'll take care of Ate May" Christian said, she smiled and nodded her head and walked out the door. We all walked over to Ate May and smiled at her
"We missed you so much Ate May!" Kisses exclaimed, and she smiled at us
"Miss ko rin kayo" She said
"Oh yah Ate May, I forgot to ask you, are we gonna tell Edward about your sickness?" I asked her, and everyone just froze and looked at me, but then Ate May answered
"Don't tell him muna, remember nga, si Heaven diba" She said, and the others looked confused
"What about Heaven?" Fenech asked
"Marco you be the one to tell them" She said, and I nodded my head
MayMay's POV:
When I woke up I saw I was in the hospital, then I saw Mama, and I asked her what happened and she told me everything, about the leukaemia, I mean yah I'm upset that I have leukaemia, but I have to be strong, for Mama and for my friends. Marco told the others about Heaven and they all look like they wanna kill the girl.
"Ate May why did you agree?" Rita asked, and I just shrugged
"Edward seems happy naman with her eh, I want him to be happy" I said and they just looked at me
"Nako Ate May, you're really head over heels for Edward" Kristine said, and I just rolled my eyes and stuck out my tongue at her, and they all just laughed at me childish behaviour. They are the best friends a person could ask for.
