Chapter 3

Jay POV

I was in the waiting room of Med waiting for news on Sophia. I couldn't believe that she got shot. Ever since I met her I felt something towards her. I don't know how to describe it. I looked up and saw Upton , Ruzek and Atwater walking towards me.

"Hey man any news" Adam asked

"Not yet. Did any one let her boss know what happened" I asked

"Antonio was going to ring him" Hailey said

We turned and saw Connor head towards us.

"What I new Sophia was in town on a case but how the hell did she end up in hospital." Connor said worried

"We were going to make an arrest when she got shot in the stomach. I am so sorry Connor" I said

"Is there any news " He asked when he said that Will came out towards us

"Hey so surgery went well there was no problems the surgeons are confident she will make a full recover but she will need rest and Physical Therapy. You can go in and see her she should be waking up soon but not to many." Will said

"You go in Connor we will get back to work" Adam said

I looked at Hailey and the others  and I walked with them outside of Med. I turned to Hailey.

"Look can you tell Voight I am going to stick around for bit just until she wakes up" I said

"Of course you like her don't you" Hailey Said

"Ever since I met her I can't stop thinking about her she has got this bubbly but determent energy about her " I said

"Don't mess this up" Hailey Said

I headed back in to the waiting room.

Sophia POV

I opened my eyes and noticed I was in hospital. I looked around and saw Connor my brother.

"Hey Kid how you feeling " Connor said

"Like I have been shot" I said sarcastic

"Glad to see you haven't lost your sense of humor " He said

"Where's Jay" I asked

"He outside why" He said

"Jay was there when I got shot he kept pressure on my wound " I said

"I really need to thank him. Look I have to tell you something don't get mad" He said

"What is " I said

"Dad and Claire know you are in Hospital " He said looking at me

"What I don't want them near me " I said

"I get it don't worry now I was talking to your doctor Will Halstead Jay's older brother. He said you are going to make a full recover but you will need a lot of rest and Physical Therapy so when you get out of the hospital you are staying with me no arguments I mean it" He said looking at me

"Got it I know when not to argue with you" I said

"Why don't I get Jay to come in to you " He said

"Please and Thank you" I said

Connor POV

I saw Jay and walked up to him.

"Sophia just told me you kept pressure on her wound man. I don't know how to thank you ." I said

"No need to thank me Connor " Jay said

"She wants to see if you don't mind " I said

"Sure " Jay said and walked to her room.

Sophia POV

I smiled when I saw Jay.

"Well look who it is my hero. " I said

"Hey I am so glad you are okay, I just kept thinking if I had of done something you wouldn't be in this mess" He said walking closer to me

I took his hand in to mine

"Hey I am fine and I have you to thank for that" I said

"Look Sophia I like you a lot when I first met you there was something about you. That I couldn't get out of my head. What happened today scared me. " Jay said looking at me.

"First of all you I like you as well. I don't know when we first met something just clicked with us I couldn't think about anything else. I am going to  be  staying here in Chicago for a while. So I can recover. Maybe if you want when am I out of hospital maybe we can do something " I said smiling at him

"I was going to ask you out you know" He said smirking at me 

"I was to excited sorry" I said smiling at him

"It's fine why don't you get some rest okay I will back in while okay" Jay said kissing me on the cheek.

"Sure  Bye" I said and closed my eyes couldn't help but smile.
