Everybody Needs to Talk to Me

A/N: I reread this fic and... Yeah I don't even know what to say. It's bad. BUT I started this fic at about thirteen years old while writing in my third language so... I think I get a pass. P.S. Don't you just love how I have put thing into the story (*cough* FitzSimmons *cough*) and then just never mentioned them again? (And somewhere along the line the censoring disappeared)

Before I have to talk to Stark, I have to talk to Loki. (A lot of talking ahead, I know). I'm not particularly looking forward to ether conversation, but that's not very important. After my talk with Al, she tried to get me to go lie down again but I convinced her that I'd tear some stitches if I tried(it's actually a miracle that I didn't tear any when I got off the bed). She then decided that she should go wake somebody to help her carry me, but I reminded her that they all just fought a god and were probably very tired.

So we shifted over to laying on the sofa (because it's totally different from getting back into bed shut up) and cuddled the best we could while talking softly, untill the sun started to rise an the building began waking up. Bruce was the first one to come see me (bless him) and make sure I was doing alright. He wasn't too pleased to find me lying half buried under my now sleeping girlfriend. But Bruce is a sweet guy so he just said he'd come back later to check on me.

Before he had the chance to return though, Pepper Potts came walking through the corridor with a concerned expression. It was around nine AM (A/N: I'm guessing that's morning time, and yes I'm too lazy to google it) and had Al had woken only minutes earlier and left to go take a shower and get me some fresh clothes. I'd assured her I'd be fine, but something in Peppers expression made me wish I hadn't let Al go.

Pepper sits on the sofas armrest and gives me a tight smile. "I'm glad to see you're feeling better, I was worried for a second there". She seems nervous, an odd look on her. "Thanks" I answer. After a brief pause I continue, "If you don't mind me asking, why are you here?".  She looks down at her hands, and then seems to decide that she's being stupid and meets my gaze.

"Did you point a gun at Tony?"

Oh shit.

"Uhhh... I may have?". I have a bad feeling that Pepper doe's not take lightly to people pointing guns at her fiance without proper reason. Especially if those people then live in her house. "Why?" she simply asks.

"I-" I can't answer that question. At least not now. I just can't. And if I can't even face the truth when Pepper asks, how will I be able to face it when Tony does? Taking a deep breath I look up at Pepper again, who meet's my eyes with a steady gaze. "We have a history" feeling like it's not enough I add, "or, he and my mother have".

Her expression darkens, but it's not anger exactly, but something else. "Was it- was it recent?" she asks. I shake my head. "No, almost two decades ago".

"Oh" she says. Looking a bit relived she gets up from the sofa. "I'm sorry to have bothered you at a time like this. I'll leave you to rest for now" with those words she disappears, leaving me dumbfounded and stupidly shouting "Bye!" after her. Not two minutes later Al returns.

As she walks down the corridor I'm stricken by how much she reminds me of Pepper, both confident redhead women of the business world who will take no shit. Then another thought hits me. A horrible thought, a true abomination of a thought that invades my mind. It makes my face scrunch up in disgust, like I'm eating a lemon.

"What is it?" Al asks when she sees my expression. After a beat of silence I croak "He likes redheads too. I got my preference in women from the biggest playboy in playboy history"

Bruce comes back as promised and as soon as he's done with the checkup (that was filled with comments about my fast healing mind you) Al rolls me to the elevator and we go down to meet Rudolph. (Okay yes that might be a bit insulting to Rudolph and NO I'm not running out of suitable nicknames). When we get down, the whole crew is gathered in a surveillance room of sorts. Thor is squeezed into a bit too small chair and he's staring intensely at a big screen displaying Loki in all his full glory sitting on the floor in a odd cell with plasmatic (A/N I don't know how to describe them. From the movie Thor 2) walls. For his amusement, he's bouncing a red rubber ball.
