Jealous Friendship

Ch. 1- Ferris Wheel

I think today will actually be fun. I smiled as my friends, Emma and Lola, and I got into the amusement park in LA. Emma and I were visiting Lola because she moved to Cali. two years ago. We went on a million rides, played a bunch of games, and finally went on the Ferris wheel to calm ourselves down.

"Sorry. Only 2 people on at once" the man who took our tickets said. The three of us looked at each other.

"I'll go with someone else" I said. "Maybe I'll find a boyfriend" I laughed. Emma and Lola asked me if it was okay and I nodded yes. It wasn't though. They always text more often then I do with them. And this whole trip was revolving around them. I was definitely the third wheel.

"Is there anyone who is going alone?" The man asked the line to the Ferris wheel. Nobody answered. Then I saw a guy with bright hair come out of the line and stare right at me. He was with a few of his friends.

"IM ALONE" he screamed. He walked up the line and got in the Ferris wheel. I got in slowly. I don't even know who this is!

"So how's it goin" he asked me, with no shame or nervousness.

"Uh good I guess" I said back kinda scared.

"So do you live in LA?" He asked me. I shook my head no.

"I'm just visiting a friend" I said. "But I shouldn't have even come. I'm barely spending any time with her" I sighed, maybe too loudly.

"Well it would be pretty bad if you didn't come. I wouldn't have met you" he said smiling with his eyes closed with a goofy face. I smiled a little.

"Is that your way of flirting with me?" I asked, starting to giggle.

"Well, I guess so. I mean it's second nature, so I'm just amazing at it. I get all the ladies" he said and made a funny face.

"I see" and I rolled my eyes. He was a little cute.

"So what's your name?"

"Y/n"

"I really like that name. It's pretty" he said. "Mines Kian" I smiled. "So maybe we could hang out. Like.. if your bored or something.. or if your not!..just whenever I uh guess" he said stuttering.

"That would be great" I replied. We exchanged numbers as we got to the bottom.

"Kian you left us!" I heard a guy say.

"Well, it was for a great reason" he smiled at me. They all made a "oooh" sound and I felt my face get red.

"So I'll see you soon" he said raising his eyebrows.

"Of course" I said back.
