Devan and I sat way far back, on a grass platform together, reminiscing about what happened the past 2 years. Did love talking to him. He's so interesting and fun to talk to. His laugh is also perfect. Oh my God. I'm fangirling.

We had our legs stretched out, leaning on our hands. Every once in a while, his fingers would graze mine. I would blush everytime it happened. It was nearing the end of the show when he scooted closer to me. I recollected my legs, letting the bend at the knee, supporting myself on one hand, so I was facing him. He did the same to face me. He intertwined our supporting hands. His other hand made it's way to my cheek pulling me close. I smiled as I hooked my hand around around his arm, pulling myself closer. His lips grazed mine, letting all my cares in the world, to become absent in my mind, and just focus on this kiss. I closed my eyes, enjoying the sweet bliss to overcome me. I parted and he kissed my forehead softly. I placed my head in the crook of his neck, and he leaned his head on mine. I wrapped my arms around his torso.

"Hazel?" He asked. "Yes?" I responded.

"I know I'm that dorky kid who you grew up with and after all you've been through," he paused, "I want to be the one you go to when you're upset. I want to be the one you go to when you're down. I want to be you're guy," I smiled and blushed, "so, um, I'm hoping that, um," he nervously laughed, "now my words won't come out." I smiled. I gripped his neck and kissed him lightly. "Yes." I said. "You can be my guy." I laughed. He laughed, "good. I thought you were going to say no." He laughed.

Silence.

He suddenly kissed me. Not harshly, but just enough to catch my attention. I parted.

"Not too fast." I whispered. He smiled warmly.

"Of course." He whispered, leaning his head on mine.

The show soon ended, meaning that Devan and I were to part ways. He gripped me tighter as our parents approached us, signaling to go. He quickly helped me up, keeping a hand on the small of my back.

For some reason I began to panic. My breathing became labored, my heart rate spiked, causing me to get lightheaded. I soon saw flashes of that night.

I saw things. Police cars, James, Devan, Collins. I was screaming. I was close to unconsciousness.

Unaware of the surroundings, I was darting between consciousness and unconsciousness.

Next thing I knew, I was laying down, panic all around. I had some plastic thing over my mouth and nose. I could smell the hospital. The alcohol.

I can't.
