•Hux isn't the strongest man in the First Order; that's without question.

•he'd trained hard like everyone else back in his early days as a cadet, of course.

•his strength was above average, but not nearly as close to that of his troops

•there was no way he could possibly lift a full grown, highly muscular, unconcious man, much less carry him.

•but when he saw the limp, battered body of Kylo Ren lying peacefully in the snow amongst a sea of red, Hux suddenly felt like he was strong enough to carry a planet

•he refused to let the soldiers that accompanied him touch the Knight of Ren. Kylo wouldn't appreciate being manhandled by low-class troopers.

•instead, Hux positioned his arms under Kylo's back and knees and lifted the man with great effort, grimacing at his dead weight.

•He managed to stagger to their shuttle a few meters away, the bundle in his arms that once was a host of constant anger and rage now just a cold, pitiful heap.

•He could've sworn Ren moved a fraction, desperately snuggling into Hux's warmth.

•Hux knew he should have minded cradling his brat of an associate in his arms, but somehow he didn't.

•he definitely didn't mind when Ren's eyes creaked open just slightly, and his voice croaked out, "Hux?" before falling completely unconscious.

•he hoped Ren didn't remember this oddly intimate moment, but at the same time, he hoped it would be forever seared into his memories just like that lightsaber had seared into his face.

•he gently set Kylo down on a gurney inside the shuttle, knowing by the looks of his injuries that he'd likely remember nothing.

•the next time Kylo and Hux quarrel, Hux is rendered speechless when Kylo whines, "What happened to our bonding moment! You cradled me in your fucking arms!"

•Hux glares at him before embarrassedly storming off, swearing to himself that if it were possible, he'd reach inside his own stomach and strangle every last butterfly that dared to flutter at the fact that Kylo acknowledged their "bonding moment."

•now, Kylo purposely brings up the bonding moment at random just to get the General all flustered.

•it works.
