If I Was A Person
Ally spent her days and weeks at the hospital. The time flew by and she was released with an ointment to help her skin. Her hair had grown back but her smooth skin on her arms were reddened and forever scarred. On the day she was admitted back to school, Ally's teeth chattered, even though the spring air was heavy with pollen and it was warm outside.
Her mother carefully dabbed ointment onto Ally's arms and legs, and brushed out her hair until they were in perfect, glossed waves.
She looked in the mirror.
She didn't look like herself. A doll, a scarred doll. Not human, just a doll trying to disguise the flaws. A tear dripped down Ally's cheek but she wiped it away, heaving up her school bag, full of homework her mother had retrieved from school and Ally had managed to finish.

"Have a nice day, honey," Mrs. Gunderman waved, dropping her daughter off. Ally muttered a goodbye and walked towards the school, her head down and her lunch box swinging in her hands.
"Omg, Ally!" A random girl, with bright platinum hair and green eyes chirped. Ally stepped back, surprised.
"You don't remember me?" The girl pouted. "I'm Jessica! I was totAlly into you! We were best friends."
A voice rang out. "Liar," it hissed. "You're part of Penny's plastic doll group. Back off. Why are you tricking her into thinking you're her best friend?"
Ally turned. Aaron's electric, shocking blue eyes glared at the girl, who pouted and sashayed off.
Ally turned away, embarrassed, and left for her locker, ignoring everybody who called out her name.
