I can't believe this is happening. I did it. I really moved to California. I have never lived outside of Oklahoma before, so this is a huge change. They have palm trees here! That is insane! I can see the ocean! Okay, I will stop fangirling now.

I moved into my dorm this morning. I got a single room, because I am too socially awkward to live with someone. Especially if it is someone I don't know.

As I was unpacking and decorating, I hear a knock on my door. I see through my peep hole a really handsome guy, so of course I panic since I am sweaty and not presentable. I fix my hair some and proceed to open the door. "Hey!" The pretty boy with stainless white teeth smiled at me. "Hi." I say as I wave at him. He then hands me a paper saying, "I hope you can make it tonight." He winks at me as my face heats up. I tell him "thanks" as he walks away. The paper was a flyer for a Welcome Back Bash.

I decided I should go, because I have not left my room since I got here and maybe I can make friends. I get all dressed up and I put on some make-up and headed out. "You got this. You will make friends." I had to tell myself in the mirror. This is a new start in life. Maybe, I will find a boyfriend. I walk out to the volleyball court on the beach, which just happened to be right off campus, that's when I saw him. Sitting alone at a picnic table. Should I go talk to him?
