"Just Friends"

KRYSTAL'S POV

I sit on my bed while I am waiting for Anastasia to pick me up. I start pulling out my homework and write a paper that is due in a couple of days. I feel my phone vibrate next to me breaking me out of my concentration. It is a text from Nolan.

Nolan: "Hey, K! I am going to be out late studying. I am leaving my phone at my dorm, because it needs to charge. Luv ya!"

No shocker there. I reply back.

Krystal: "Alright. I love you, too! Maybe we can hang out later after your studying? ;)"

Nolan: "I can't tonight, K. I will be getting home really late, and I just want to go to bed."

Krystal: "Oh. Ok."

Nolan: "Don't be like that. I am just really busy."

NOLAN'S POV

"Babyyyyy ignore her." Sabrina comes and sits behind me kissing my neck. I put my phone down and make my neck more accessible for her. She starts sucking on my sweet spot causing me to let out a small groan. "She is still my girlfriend," I say breathlessly. She stops and backs up putting space between us. I look at her. She is making a cute pouting face. "Not for long." I roll my eyes at her. I crawl on the bed putting me between her legs. I lean down and kiss her. She wraps her legs around my waist and I fall for the trap again.

KRYSTAL'S POV

I don't respond to his text. I start to cry when my door to my dorm opens. I see Anastasia. She immediately runs over to me and holds me. "It's okay, Bae. What happened?" I break out of her grasp and grab my phone. I pull up my conversation with Nolan. She reads it and pulls me back into her lap. "It's okay, babe. Let's go to the movie and forget him." I nod and get up off of my bed. I look in the mirror and wipe my face with a towel. I look over to Anastasia. "I am ready. Let's go have fun." She smiles and jumps off the bed. "That's my girl!!" We leave the dorm and get into her car.

"There they are." I point over to Ethan and Grayson. They are looking cute and casual. We walk up to them. Anastasia jumps and screams "Surprise!" Making both boys turn quickly and hold their chest. "Oh shit. You scared us." Grayson says while laughing. Ethan and I make eye contact. He makes a confused face at me. Grayson and Anastasia start walking to the ticket seller leaving Ethan and I walking behind them. He leans over and whispers, "Are you okay?" I look at him and say, "Just going through some stuff. I will be fine." He nods even though I could tell he didn't believe me. We get in line. "What movie are we watching?" I ask Anastasia. "We are watching The Quiet Place." She smiles at me and goes back to hugging all over Grayson. He looks displeased. I hope he is okay.

"Two for The Quiet Place." I look over to Ethan. "I can get myself. You are okay." "Shh. I have to make up for everything." I smile at him and thank him. We go inside the movie and sit near the middle.

This movie is scary as fuck. I look over to find Grayson and Anastasia's tongues deep in each others throats. I gag and hear Ethan laughing next to me. He leans over and whispers in my ears, "Want to get out of here? I really don't like the sound of spit when I am watching a movie." I laugh, "You paid for the movie, though?" "Money is just money. Plus, this movie is being drowned out by the lip suckers over there." I look back at them and nod. He smiles and grabs my hand. We run out of the theater. We get inside his car. He pulls out his phone and texts Gray telling him that we left.

We drive for awhile jamming to some music. "Here we are." He smiles at me, as I look out to see where we are. We are on a water bank looking out a little pond.We get out the car and sit on the bank. "Where is this place?" He looks at me and says, "It's a secret. I found it when Grayson and I were little. I used to come here whenever the fame would take over my life. I wanted to keep myself down to earth as much as possible. Remembering that we are all just people living on the same planet. I just got a lucky break." I smile at him. I can only imagine what it is like to be famous and people demanding so much from you. I start shivering some, because I forget that California is freezing at night. I see him start to take his jacket off and put it around my shoulders. "Here, you must be freezing." I thank him as we sit in silence. It wasn't awkward, but comfortable. All my emotions start to crash down on me all at once. I start crying. He looks at me with a worried face. "Are you okay?" I nod. "No, you are not." He pulled me into his lap. I just let myself cry while he played with my hair. He didn't pressure me into telling him anything which helped. "Do you think Nolan really likes me?" I ask through my sobs. He looks at me and replies, "He would be a fool if he didn't."
