Before we start, let's clear up some misconceptions, shall we?
1. Witchcraft is NOT a religion!
Anybody can be a witch. Your religion, race, gender, abilities, etc. do not matter. Note: All Wiccans are witches, but not all witches are Wiccans!
2. Witchcraft is not evil or satanic
Hollywood and the Church have made it seem like witches and the like are all evil. They're not. Can they be? Yeah. Magick can be used for good or bad purposes. I'll get more into that in a later entry. But generally speaking, the large LARGE majority of witches are good people with no bad intention.
3. Witches are nothing like you think they are
This is true. We are nothing like the cruel, creepy hag from Hansel and Gretel. In fact, you've probably met, seen, or been near a witch at some point in your life. We are just like normal people with a very special hobby, and even more special abilities!
4. Your ancestors have to be witches for you to be one too
There are plenty hereditary witches, but not all of us have witchy ancestors! (haha I certainly don't)
