Chapter 1. The Ticket and Good Morning

(Nova POV)

"Yawn" I stretch as I wake up and look at my alarm clock. My breath catches as I see the time "7:30".

"Holy shit" I scream as I scramble up of my bed to get ready for school.

I had 30 minutes too get done as my bestfriend Merry is supposed to pick me up this morning.

As I finish brushing my crazy hair I hear a car pull up in my drive way and honk.

I rush into my room and glance at my clock "7:55".

I grab my bag and run downstairs yelling a quick goodbye too my family.

As I reach my friends car I see her standing by it.

She hadn't noticed me yet so I decide to creep up on her.

When I'm standing right next too her I scream "MERRY" and tackle her in a hug I hear her say "What the hell Nova".

As I let her out of the hug laughing like a maniac "gotcha again Merry" I say as I begin calming down from my laughing fit.

We get in her car and start heading to school about half way there Merry hands me a piece of paper.

I look up confused "What's this for" I ask lightly "Read what it says Nova" Merry says smiling and laughing.

So I do as soon as I'm done I scream "Holy fuck Merry where did you get this at".

It was a ticket too a concert but not just any concert.

A Vampires Everywhere concert only my most favorite band in the world.

I had been wanting to go for months but could never get enough money.

I sit there staring at Merry and watch as she produces another VE concert ticket.

She begins explaining how an old friend of hers had two tickets but couldn't go so she gave them too her.

"I knew you had been wanting to go for sometime" Merry says as we pull up into a spot at the school parking lot.

As we get out of the car I run over too Merry and grab her in another hug screaming "thank you thank you thank you" over and over again making a few of the other students give me funny looks.

But I didn't care I was already a misfit and nothing bothered me anyways.

"Your welcome Nova" Merry says as I release her from the hug as we begin walking towards the school.

I was determined to let nothing ruin my good mood because for the first time in a long time I was happy at how the day started all thanks to my best friend Merry.
