My heart melted, my girl was tied up in a chair. Her sunken cheeks and collar bones, more defined than usual told me she hadn't been fed. Her beautiful face was stained from tears, dark rings around her eyes and swollen lips. Blood was on her shirt, most likely from coughing up blood, like I was. It looked like she hadn't slept in weeks. She looked exhausted, her shoulders were slumped into the chair and she was struggling to keep her head up. She had blood coming out of her eyes which was from crying whilst suffering from starvation.

What was actually less than a second, felt like an eternity, running over to Hope. Instead of running in front of her, I ran straight behind her and quickly untied her, lifting her from the chair in seconds. I cradled her in my arms like the man does over the threshold after marriage. Both of our fangs snapped out, an uncontrollable reaction since we had been away from each other for so long. We were both crying, crying out each others names and Hope was trying to hold onto me, but her weak body wouldn't allow it. The crying must have tipped her over the edge of exhaustion, because her eyes looked at me for the last time and smiled softly as her eyes fluttered closed and her body went limp.

Paris was out of the car as soon as she saw us appearing in the rear view mirror. She broke down and started to call out Hopes name. By the tears that were down my cheek and how I was carrying Hope, I guess it did look like she had died.

"Paris, she's alive, barely, but alive" I spoke quietly.

Instantly she was up again, running over to Hope, calling her name softly.

I walked past Paris, lying Hope down in the back of the car.

"Are we driving home? I can drive if you want, you siting the back with her?" Paris asked.

"Driving would take too long, I'll have my jet fly over and she will be home before night fall."

*Hope's POV*

I can hear beeping.
I can smell disinfectant.
I can see a bright white light.
I can feel the tubes in my arms.
I can feel people watching me quietly.
I can feel something holding my legs and ankles down.
I can feel my eyes, flinching to open, but being un-able to do so.
I can feel myself drifting away to sleep.. After another failed attempt at opening my eyes, I let go.
*Keegans POV*

Class sucks. This is the 12th lesson we have had relief teacher in a row. Where is Mr Corvin? Where is Hope and where is Paris? I moved into their english to keep an eye on them, but that has been real god damn effective, has it?. None of them are here! Its like I'm the only one noticing this. The principal has dismissed Hope's and Paris's absence as "personal reasons" and their work is being sent home, which they are completing and when asked about Mr Corvin, he freezes up, fixes himself and says its "family business" and will be back soon. Bull sh!t. Something is going on and I plan to find out. My first thought was to go over this afternoon to Hope's and Mr Corvin's house.

Two problems arise with that idea.

I have no idea where Mr Corvin lives.
I have after school detention for the rest of the year because of that photo stunt and if I don't go, I get expelled.

God dammit.

*Marcus POV*

She's sleeping, not dead, sleeping. Which is good right?

"She will sleep for a few days Sir, her body has been through a great ordeal. A human would not survive that and by the looks of it, she barely did. Starvation is a great danger for vampires Marcus. A human can only last 2 weeks and she lasted longer than that. She has done remarkably well" The family doc said, as if reading my mind.
