My heart broke watching Grace and Nox walk out that door especially since I didn't understand why Nox was leaving. I knew it was going to be hard without them but this was bigger than me. I turned to Deishi. "Where do we start?" Deishi glided over to the war table.
"In 12 days we will ambush Lainos as he passes through this canyon on his way to visit military outposts along the mountain ridges. Men will be hiding in the cave systems at the front and back of the canyon. Once he goes in, he won't be leaving."
"What about Isi that protect him?" Hale spoke up. It was well known that the four Isi that protected Lainos were incredibly skilled in elemental magic.
"We will be sending a small team to poison them so they are weaker and easily defeated. The reason to not kill them is that Lainos will not leave his castle unless he feels safe. The poison we are using is slow release so it will take until they get to the canyon to come into effect. Any other questions?" Explained Deishi.
"Who's on the team? Spoke up a little Traw girl no older than 7 human years.
"Vex will be leading as she knows where everything is in the castle. Others will be Hale, yourself Fren, and captain. Objections?" There was murmuring but no-one objected to this woman whose very presence screamed 'obey'. "Good, you leave at dawn."
