Chapter 8 - Bowling

The next day.

I woke up and remembered that today is sunday. The day connor is coming over so we can hang out and do something i dont know what though, he didnt tell me.

I start getting ready but great i have no idea what to wear, i mean do i need to wear causal or smart or even just lounge wear. Help!

I decide to go with simple light blue high wasted jeans and a vest top with love on it. I add a necklace and bracelets to bling it up abit but i think this should be ok.

For my make up i tend to just put on mascara and a bit of foundation becuase if i dont i'll look as pale as a ghost.

I look at my clock and its about 9:30 so i have plenty of time.... oh wait connor didnt tell me when he was picking me up, the silly idiot but he hasnt even text me yet either. Maybe hes changed his mind and doesnt want to hang out, i cant blame him really.

I need to text him and find out, but i dont want to look desperate.

text to connor:

hi, are you still up for today? if not thats fine but i was just wonderingx

I hope thats text is ok and that he doesnt think im lame but oh well now i just have to wait.

A few seconds later and my phone bleeps, indicating that i have an text message.

Text from Connor:

Yeah of cource im still up for it if you are, i'll come and knock for you at about 12 if thats ok. Dont worry it will be fun! x

I reply back saying yes thats fine.

I decide to watch a film until 12.

When 12:00 arrives i start to put my shoes on ready and sit in my kitchen to wait.

Soon there is a knock on the door. I am actually really nervous and im not quite sure why but here goes...

"hey, connor" I say as i open the door.

"Hey, and you can just call me con if you like, its easier." He explains as he pulls me into a hug.

I close my door and we head down the road.

"So what are we going to do today then?" I enguire. I am nosy.

"well i thought we could go bowling so we can get to know each other a little better thats why its just you and me"

"Really, bowling with just us two, i dont think thats going to be a very long game aha" I realise that sounded abit rude but ive said it now. Stupid me, now he will think im arrogant or somthing.

"oh well we dont have to...it was just an idea, i know it wont take long but that dosnt matter does it and we can also just go to the arcade bit or get a snack so we can chat" He looks like ive upset him.

"No i didnt mean it like that, i just ment it will be funny to play as a pair, of cource i still want to go bowling, i was just joking really please dont think im rude" I smile shyly.

"I could never think that" He says a bit perkier that before.

He then quickley grabs my hand, not giving me time to realise what is happening. And then he pulls me so we are running towards the bowling centre.

We get there with both of us panting.

"I dont think ive ever run so fast and for song long in my life" I explain.

"I know, im just really excited, lets go" He says. He is really like a big kid sometimes.

He goes up to the bowling alley and upto the desk. We pay for our tickets and lane, well i wanted to split the price between me and connor as it was only fair but he was adament that he pays and he did.

I need to treat him to something later becuase he is being to nice.

We are in lane 2. Connor says he is just going to the toilet so i am left sitting here like a weirdo waiting for him. Great.

Suddenly i notice a large group of girls walk into the alley. They are all roughly my age, plastered in makeup, wearing tight but skimpy clothes. They all so pretty though.

They come and sit in the lane next to me. I feel self conscious so i start to fiddle with my thumbs and play with my phone.

I smile as i see connor coming up to me, but hes carrying two drinks. The idiot said he was going toilet. But its nice though, i like that he bought me a drink.

"oh i thought you were going to the toilet" i laugh.

"yes, i did but i knew you wouldnt let me pay for anything else so i had to sneakily buy these drinks for us, i hope you like coke?" he says but then looks worried that i might not like coke.

"awh well thankyou and yeah i love coke, who dosnt to be fair"

I go up for my go and i knock down 2 pins, great. I turn back and see two of the girls staring at connor. Why though? I hope they stop.

Connor laughs at me. Dragging me out of my thoughts.

"Not funny con, i havent played in a while so thats why im bad ok" i say back jokingly.

"Then let me help you" He smirks and gets from his seat to stand right behind me. He tells me to pick up a bowling ball. He positions me infront of the lane then moves my hand to roll the ball. The ball rolls down and knocks down all the rest of the pins.

"yay! a spear" i say i am so happy i never get spares.

My happiness ends as i hear sniggering and giggling in the background.

Its those girls but i try to ignor them.

All through out the game the girls keep winking and flirting with connor. I dont know why i care so much becuase its not like where dating. its just i wanted it to be just me and him but now these girls are spoiling it.

Its cons go. He gets up and shoots but then one of the girls walks up to him, she slides her arm around his waiste. He immediately turns around and locks lips with the girl.

What the hell? I was not expecting him to do that. I shouldnt care but i do. It was supposed to be our time. I cant take this, the girls are laughing at me, cons probably laughing at me too.

I walk out of the bowling alley and start running down the road. I dont care where, i just want to get away from here and go to bed and sleep for a thousand years.

Connors p.o.v

What just happened.

All i know is that i was about to roll my ball when an arm was wrapped around my waiste. I was so happy i really did think it was Izzy. I dont know why i mean she doesnt even know i like her yet. Today was the day i was supposed to tell her my feelings, but ive ruined it now.

Who is that girl that just kissed me. She is some slut but i dont care i just need to find izzy. I know it must have looked like i was the one to kiss first but thats becuase i thought it was izzy.

I need to find her and explain.
