(UNEDITED)

The walls were papered white. But most of the wallpaper had been torn and untidy. I pulled off an edge and it came off so quickly. Actually I got curious to see what was underneath. Some secret passage? Nah, this ain't some fictional story. This is the real world!

In hindsight, I probably should've left it. The bare cemented under-surface gave me the creeps. I plonk myself on the bed. But I don't get any sleep.

Screech!

What was that noise? It came out from somewhere near the window, I guess. Probably... I don't know!
I stand up. Shaking, I walk towards the window which was covered by a thin, transparent curtain. Well, that ain't serving any purpose. Nah-nah!

O.M.G! The rate of my heart beat increased. I slowly pushed way the hems of the fabric to take a closer look at whatever that's out there.

Thud!

I was taken aback by a loud thunder. And then I saw the lightning striking too. Wait, what? When did this all start? I look out through the cracked window pane. There was no rain. Phew... Thank God! Or it would've been difficult for me to get back home in a rainstorm.

But the next thing I saw brought chills in my spines. I could clearly see a figure standing out. When the lightning struck again, it became more visible. It was a girl with her back turned towards me.

'Noooo!!!', I screamed and ran towards the door. When I reached the main hall, there was no sign of Natasha. Oh wait, she's not Natasha! Right... Nat's the dead girl.
Nonono. Thinking about dead girls do not help, especially now!

Okay, so where is whoever-she-is? I don't think it was she- the girl outside.
For a girl of her age, she didn't seem like the type to go out along in the dark in the middle of the night, especially with the thunderstorms.

Wait, why didn't it rain even a single drop? The storm was so fierce. Cool air swept down my face and body. My body went numb. I didn't know what to do. 'Hello? Anyone here?', I fumbled, searching for something to hold onto in the blackness. No sound!
'Jesus, help me', I whisper.
