"Seventeen, the new stylists are here! Make them feel welcome!"
All of us just responded to our manager with a nod, or an 'okay, hyung' as we kept ourselves busy with whatever we were doing. When we heard the door swing open, all of us looked up. I felt my breath hitch when I saw some stylists that looked awfully familiar. But, the sight of only one stylist was enough to bring tears to my eyes, and make my lips tremble.
Baby, that stylist was you.
I just held back the tears, and Hansol hyung looked at me while whispering, "Isn't that one stylist the person who you stared at in the coffee shop yesterday?"
I gave a him a nod, looking back at you. The manager started assigning all of you to each member. Songyeon, who still had platinum blonde hair, was assigned to Jun. Jinsol, whose hair faded into a light red, was assigned to Soonyoung. Younghee was assigned to Minghao. And, you were assigned to me. I wanted to tell the manager so bad to just change the stylist, but I just ignored it.
Songyeon looked at me, and gave me a wide grin with a small wave, before pointing at you. She whispered something to Jinsol, and she only looked at me and grinned. Younghee gave me a small nod, with a small smile. It surprised me that the three of them remembered my face, but it didn't surprise me that you couldn't recognize me. You still had slightly tan skin, with the freckles on your face, but your hair had grew longer. You became thinner, and now you were almost as tall as me. The small talk we had while you did my makeup was great. I missed the times we talked like that before.
"Do I know you?"
That question made me almost break down into tears, since I missed hearing that from you when we were in high school. Sometimes, you would forget me. Sometimes, you wouldn't. But, at the end of the day, we would be saying that we love each other before going to sleep.
"No, you don't. You already know that I'm Dino, since the manager told you. What's your name?"
"I'm Kim Hyorin, and I have two huskies. They've been alive since I was high school, but they're still so cute."
"Are you interested in Photography?"
"Well, I used to be... I'm great at taking pictures. There's a mint green polaroid camera, though. Younghee said that I got that from my ex boyfriend during high school, but... I don't really remember anything about him."
"Oh, really? I used to have an ex girlfriend in high school. We broke up since it was complicated. She doesn't remember me anymore. She was adorable though, and I really love her smile. Sometimes, I think about her and wonder if she's okay. She's always okay, though, since her friends constantly tells me about her condition."
"That sucked. You two must've been a great couple. Since you're an idol, won't she recognize you by now when she sees you? She might stare at you for a while, and then go, 'Oh god, that guy was actually my ex in high school...' or something."
"Well, I hope she would recognize me, at least, but she really doesn't. So, I'm just the one with the memories, and she's just living on her life. She probably doesn't even know her ex boyfriend is alive."
"That's just horrible... Well, care to tell me your full name? I only know your stage name, it's not fair."
"My full name? It's Lee Chan."
"... That's... That's a cute name."
