It's a week later when he sees the girl again, he's on his way to the grocery store, this time she's hanging up flyers that seem to be the same flyers of the missing kitten he saw a week ago, its now that he notices her brown hair is actually dyed faded purple at the ends.
Lev debates wither to help her or not, decide on the former.
He takes a deep breath, quickly thinking this over, once, then twice, because social interactions aren't really his thing and he doesn't even know why hes doing this considering that the missing cat, that's probably hers, is willow and he doesn't want to give it away just yet.
Lev coughs to get her attention, then mentally slaps himself because that's probably rude and he could've just said hi.
"oh, hi,- her face lights up as she recognizes him- you're the mysterious photographer from the beach".
" more like amateur photographer but uh yes and you're the one reading a book?" another mental slap
She chuckles at that, "ah yes, im jude".
"Lev,"
" hmm nice name you've got there," she says grinning.
She goes back to taping a flyer to a lamppost.
" hey if you need any help hanging these around, I um- I can help" he shrugs.
"you sure? I don't want to put you off if youre in a rush or anythin-"
"of course yes, im not in any rush"
he is
they make small conversation whilst hanging the flyers, Lev tries to ignore the guilt nagging at him in the back of his mind while Jude tells him all about her missing kitten, he nods and pretends to listen but really all he can think about is the spark in her hazel eyes and how excited she got when he asked her to talk about her kitten, how the sunlight is making her skin golden, and how hes suddenly wishes he brought his camera with him because just like sunsets on beaches her smile is a sight for sore eyes.
" earth to Lev" he shakes his head "uh yes what were you saying?" she laughs, Lev thinks that he could get used to hearing her laugh.
"I wasn't saying anything you just zoned out suddenly, and was like staring at me" she says as she hangs up what seems to be the last of her flyers.
And oh no he didn't, "oh that's just embarrassing sorry" his face starts to turn bright pink, he can feel it heating up with embarrassment.
"no its okay," she takes the rest of the flyers from him, "think I've hung up enough of those today, thanks for the help Lev bye!" she waves goodbye and wakes away.
The soft smile gracing his lips doesn't leave as he wakes back home, and if he gets a little scolding for not getting the groceries, or not even reaching the store, then that's fine because for some odd reason hanging out with the girl was worth it, and if he feels a bit guilty while playing with willow, then that's fine too because he has decides he's going to give it back, eventually, but not yet.
