Hello, my darlings! How are you today? I hope you're all having a wonderful week and may it continue to do so throughout. If you are fasting then I hope you're not getting too thirsty or hungry; a week has already passed so we only have 21 days left!

I hope the fifth chapter of Alesandese will help you through these days, both fasting and non-fasting, and please vote and comment what you think about it.

Enjoy!

"It all began twenty-two years ago when your mother was living on Saturn and was part of the rebellion," I sit up straighter and look at dad in awe.

"Mom was a rebel?"

"Yes, she was," Dad smiles at me. "You see Alesandese, Saturn is not like Earth where each one has their civil right to be whoever they want to be. They have very strict and unfair laws toward the inhabitants who are not like they want them to be." Dad explains.

"What did Mom do that was so wrong?" I ask.

"Nothing Alesandese, I assure you," says Dad., "The only thing your mother did was to fight for freedom and oppression against women's rights."

"Women's rights?" I ask with a frown.

"If you live on Saturn as a woman, you have no rights what so ever. Your worth is basically equivalent to dirt, if not less." Dad says, shaking his head. I feel anger welling up inside me.

"Why? Women are just as capable as men of doing everything!" I say angrily.

"I know darling but not to them," Dad says, wrapping his arm harder around me. "Saturn is a huge planet and I don't know much about its culture like your mother. But they seem to think that women cannot think for themselves or have a high power status in lack of intelligence and handling things."

"That's just ridiculous," I say, pulling away from Dad's embrace. "What right do they have to even say those things? Why aren't the women standing up against this ruling and demanding their rights?" I ask. Dad looks at me with what could be described as pity, I hate that look!

"Alesandese," Dad begins with a sigh, "do you really think it's that simple?"

"No," I say, "of course not. But they have to begin someplace or nothing will ever change and they will continue being oppressed."

"I agree darling and that's what your mother was doing," says dad. "She was a rebel and fought against the evil regime of the Emperor."

"Really? How did she fight?" I ask, awe visible in my voice.

"She was an excellent warrior for starters," Dad says but I interrupt him.

"She was a warrior?" I ask in shock. "Did she have any weapons or-?" Dad's laugh interrupts me, making me blush. "Sorry, it's just exciting." I murmur.

"Don't apologize angel. You're making me happy," Dad says with a smile. "I thought you were going to be revolting against the idea and fight it, but I see your mother's spirit in your eyes when you get excited."

"What happened, Dad?" I ask, almost scared of the answer but it had to end happily right? I mean, Mom came to Earth somehow and married Dad and they had a child. Me.

"She stood up against the Emperor and dared to fight him. By law, women aren't allowed to fight, they're barely allowed to go outside without the company of a man." Dad says with a frown. "But she stood up to that tyrant and almost got killed for it. She managed to escape but not before leaving a mark on him."
