Gus hissed, trying not to show how bad it actually hurt when I put peroxide all over the tiny cuts//scratches on his face. "I know it burns, I'm sorry." I slightly frowned as I pulled the cloth away and sat it beside me on the counter. I was sitting on the counter as well, knowing that it was a lot easier than standing on my tip toes to reach his height. It was now 6 pm, and my mom and sister still weren't back.

I reached to the side, grabbing small bandaids and placing them over the little cuts on his face. "You know these aren't gonna do much, right?" I nodded and smiled wide. "I just figured that it might be cute to see your face with tiny bandaids all over it." He laughed and rolled his eyes. "Were you right?" he stopped laughing and his face inched towards mine.

My face felt hot, and I was starting to panic, but instead, i started to slyly smile. "Actually... I was." I kissed the tip of his nose, which made him slightly jump back, then I hopped off the counter and looked in the fridge. "What do you want to eat?"

"Did you just..."

"Mom is probably gonna be home soon, maybe she'll be surprised if we cook something for her and Bella." Gus looked at me and smiled. "Like what?"

I shrugged, having no idea. "Or... we could just make cookies to snack on?" Gus laughed and nodded. "Sounds like a plan." I started grabbing stuff to make cookies, which was actually me telling him what to get because I couldn't reach most of the shelves on the cabinets. I'm not short, really, we just have super high cabinets I guess.

My phone started ringing, so I pulled it out of my pocket. "Hello?" it was my mom. "Hey, me and Isabel are gonna head to grab a quick bite. Is Gus still there?"

"Yeah, we're making cookies right now." she laughed. "I'll grab a pizza so you guys can actually eat something for dinner." I thanked her, then we said our goodbyes. "There's no need for cookies anymore, mom is gonna get us a pizza." Gus nodded and started to help me put stuff away. As he was putting away the chocolate chips, he looked at me. I could feel his eyes on me, but I was too embarrassed to look at him, so I kept my head down and grabbed the butter, then shoved it in the fridge.

"Hey, Luca..." I gave a short, "Hm?" in response. "You're really..." I cut him off. "Do you wanna watch a movie?" I looked at him. He started to rub the back of his neck, then sighed. "Uh... sure."

"Oh, sorry... didn't realize I cut you off. You can continue." I smiled slightly, but at this point I wasn't sure if I wanted to hear what he had to say. You can finish, "You're really" in a lot of different ways.

You're really cool.
You're really annoying.
You're really smart.
You're really stupid.
You're really skinny.
You're really nice.
You're really fat.

There are endless possibilities, and almost all of the ones I'm thinking of are making me sick. He could hate me for all I know, but no, I decided to add suspense to my life and cut him off.

"Oh. Nevermind. What do you wanna watch?" He slightly smiled, but I could partially tell that he really wanted to say it. Stupid me, always ruining everything. "How about... Barbie?" I started to laugh, but part of me actually kind of wanted to watch it just to laugh. "Actually, yeah, sure." he smiled which turned into a laugh. I sat on the couch, him right beside me, and I grabbed the remote, putting on Netflix then starting to play Barbie.

About 40 minutes into the movie, I was super tired, but Gus seemed fine. Or not. Well I mean he was awake, but his eyes were fluttering open and shut a lot. "Are you tired?" He nodded. Maybe this would be a good time to ask what he'd tried to say earlier.

"Hey, so um... what were you trying to say earlier? I've been thinking about it a lot, actually..." I turned my face towards his and he just stared at me. "Oh, that. Yeah." He shut his eyes for a few seconds too long, and at this point, I could tell how tired he was. We had a blanket over top of the both of us, and we were just hanging out kind of.

"I was just gonna say that you're really really pretty." He smiled, as did I. "Oh..."

"And while we're around all the cute-sy nice stuff, I'm just gonna like lean in on you and if you lean in too, I'm gonna assume you'll let me kiss you?" He shut his eyes and leaned in. I was in shock for a few seconds, but decided that this would be nice, honestly.

I leaned in, and as soon as our lips touched, I felt electricity. I couldn't move, I didn't want to move. Though, eventually he did. He smiled wide, and he was wide awake, but the whole experience just drained me even more. Too much excitement.

"Then I guess you don't mind if I lay in your lap?" I laid in his lap, staring up at him. "Not if you don't mind me playing with your hair?" I laughed and rolled to the side, exposing my hair fully. I smiled to myself then closed my eyes. What a dream I'm living in.
