Chapter: Two - The Anger in Your Eyes

"So," Kurogane started, "how do they fight? From what I can see, there are no weapons on them." Indeed, not a single one of the gangs had any weapons.

Masayoshi gave a confused smile. "With their Kudan, of course," he said as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.

"Sorry, Masayoshi-kun. From where we came from, Kudans don't exist..." Syaoran piped up.

"Is that so?"

The other three--four, if you included Mokona--nodded.

A shout startled them, "Let 'em have it!," signaling the start of the battle. Some guys from both sides jumped off the roofs and landed without any injury. All of them lifted an arm, and much to the travelers' surprise, spheres of water and fire formed in front of their fist and fired. The gang with goggles formed water while the mohawk gang formed fire. Steam filled the surrounding area as the two elements clashed, and buildings were slightly destroyed by stray spheres.

"Are those the Kudan you mentioned?" Fai said with his carefree voice.

Kurogane smirked. "Oh? Interesting."

"Hm?" Fai blinked and glanced at Syaoran.

"Is something the matter, Fai?" Tsuna said.

"Ah, well..." His hand struck out and plunged into Syaoran's cloak. The only male teen jumped and gave a small startled shout; he was in deep thought that he didn't notice his surroundings for a moment. "I happened to sense a bit of magic nearby, and my mind led me to this." He showed a beautiful, white feather with a red design.

"Meko!" Mokona cried from Fai's arms. Its once closed eyes were now wide open.

Wide, indeed. Tsuna's intuition tingled slightly at the sight of the feather.

"Is this what you're looking for, Syaoran-kun?"

"Yes!" the boy said with a spark of excitement and relief. "Thank you, Fai-san." Just when he was about to grab it, a stray water Kudan came towards their direction.

Mokona jumped up. "Look out!"

The Kudan collided with the cars that covered them. They held up their arms and closed their eyes, blocking dust and debris from reaching their faces. The feather between Fai's fingers was blown away into the air.

"Ah!" When most of the cloud of dust resided, Syaoran released his hold on Sakura and gave her to Tsuna. He ran after the feather with a speed faster than an average person.

"Syaoran!" Tsuna called out.

Kurogane clicked his tongue against his teeth. "That idiot..."

Masayoshi stared in awe and worry. "Why is he reckless?"

Tsuna, Fai, and Kurogane glanced at each other before the magician spoke up, "Though we met for the first time roughly less than 45 minutes ago-"

"Less than 45?!"
