Days crept by slowly at Beacon Hills, especially for Stiles and Bobby. Scott had been doing his best so far, with the help of a surprised Derek, to get Stiles to learn how to control himself. It didn't help that Stiles got distracted easily and wasn't learning a thing from his lessons except that Derek really didn't like rambling.
Stiles was walking with Danny along the halls, heading to their chemistry class together. His grin was wide as they talked, even if they avoided the whole 'we're crushing on each other and too scared to admit it' they had going on. Stiles really liked Danny, he didn't doubt that, but did Danny want to get into a relationship with him? Now that he was a werewolf, he'd have to keep secrets and he didn't know if he could handle the guilt of lying to the boy...
"Stilinski!" Stiles' heart jumped in surprise at the yell, turning his attention to Coach.
"Yeah, Coach?"
"Get in here." Bobby snapped, pointing to his office as he opened the door.
"Uh..." Stiles looked to Danny, apology written on his face. "I gotta go. I'll see you in class maybe?" Who knew how long this would take knowing Bobby.
"Yeah. See ya." Danny gave a quick wink, Stiles' face flushing happily. He gave a goofy grin as he walked over to Coach.
"He winked at me." He said giddily before he was shoved into the office. "Hey, don't ruin my good mood!"
"I hope to ruin all your good moods. It's my job. Now," He took a seat at his desk, "Who the hell do I keep smelling on you?" Bobby said with obvious disgust. "I don't mean to sound like some jealous house-wife, but you smell like another werewolf and it's disturbing. I know it's not McCall at least."
"You can smell Derek? Dude, that's weird."
"I am not your 'dude', Stilinski. Yes, I can smell whoever the hell Derek is. It's a werewolf things, I just happened to be better at it since I'm an Alpha." Bobby rolled his eyes before leaning forward. "I just want to make sure you two are...being safe and all."
"Oh my god! No, no, me and Derek - we aren't. Not at all. I like Danny, and I mean, Derek's a very attractive guy, but I like my men gloriously tanned and normal." Stiles stressed on normal. He might not be human anymore, but he liked the idea of having a human boyfriend before and now. He just had too many werewolves in his life.
"Then why do you smell so much like him?"
"Cause he's training me. To help me learn control, not that it's really sinking in." Stiles sighed in light defeat, head thrown back. "Derek's a cool, sour guy, but he's got a lot of trauma. Makes him rough around the edges."
"I can imagine." Bobby scoffed before humming in thought. "I wanna meet him. I mean, if he's training my beta, I want to make sure he's decent enough at it."
"He was a born werewolf, I think he'd know more about control than anyone."
"Bull. Born or not, control depends on the person and their will to be in control." Bobby stood. "Why do you think I coach lacrosse?"
"Because he have an unhealthy obsession with torturing teenagers because you were once a tortured teenager?" Stiles stated, seriously suggesting the reason.
"Yes and no." Bobby gave him that one. "I coach lacrosse because it gives you kids a chance to focus all their hormonal, uncontrollable anger so they can control it off field. It doesn't work for everyone, but for some, it's quite therapeutic."
"Sounds like anger management - whether it's for you or the students, I think it's a therapy of some kind that's needed." Stiles pursed his lips, contemplating the sanity of his Coach.
