Manara come down immediately mom shouted.

Urghhh,can you guys let a 20year old lady have some peace and quiet? I screamed back..

Manara don't make me come up there and drag you here,you're still a baby to me.
Urghhh,I hate when she says that because she actually means it,one time I was having a fever and she told me to come down for breakfast but I declined,she stormed up and dragged me by the ear downstairs,I mean I was 19 then,already an adult like I like to call myself, but not to my mother.

My mum Mrs Alex Peterson is a petite, brown haired woman,she's preety and has beautiful green eyes,she got married to my dad when she was in college,they were college sweetheart,if that's even a thing,they have been together ever since,they have only me and my elder brother max.

I groaned as I walked downstairs to the living room where my mom sat with my father,Mr gorge Peterson,a well known neurologist,huge frame,white well cut beards,black hair, blue eyes, very handsome of course, my annoying older brother,max who is married to Ashley,they have two beautiful kids,Sarah and josh,Sarah is 5,beautiful brown eyes,blonde hair,she's a sweetheart and Josh is 3,cutey,brown hair,grey eyes
Very troublesome but in a good way,my brother max is 30,brown hair,grey eyes, I wonder where he got it from,I want his eyes so bad,they are so beautiful but shhh,he doesn't need to know that else his large ego will be inflated higher,his wife is 25,blonde,preety,brown eyes,small frame and very nice.

So here,what's up?,I greeted the whole family and sat down as I ruffled Josh's hair and carried him on my lap.

Well,you just finished college and you've been home for 6months,you haven't brought anyone yet my dad spoke looking dead straight at me,he's a nice man when you get to know him but when he's serious, he's intimidating.

I sighed,dad,I know what you mean but am only 20,there's no rush,I have plenty of time for that,besides I haven't brought anyone home because am not interested in anyone yet.

Manara come back here my dad shouted halting me dead in my tracks.

You're getting married next week Saturday to the man we've picked for you and you will be out of this country with him for 5months,you better start packing your stuffs he shouted.

I ran fast to my room and banged the door,falling to my bed and crying... I can't believe this,this isn't happening,we are financially stable, it just doesn't make sense and to top it all up,am moving away with a man I don't know for five months,away from people I know and love,my friends, everyone,this is madness,I can't do this,I have to get away,I sprinted up and started packing my things,after packing few things,I collected my phone,wallet and headed for my door,only to find out it was locked,no no no no,this can't be,I tried again but same thing,I quickly ran to my window but my ladder wasn't there anymore and we lived in a big mansion where my room was on the top floor,shit,I ran and started shouting hitting the door.
You can't do this to me,you're my family,this is abuse,am a fucking adult for Christ sake,you can't treat me like am some kid,let me out now,right now,please I burst into tears again.

Baby girl ashley said at the other end.
Calm down,I know you're hurt,just calm down and breathe.

There was some ruffling at the other end then I heard the click of the door and it opened,Ashley entered and my mom who was at the door gave me a sad smile as she closed the door and locked it again,I started sobbing again.

Hey,hey,come here its okay,its okay everything is going to be fine Ashley said as I rested my head on her shoulder and she patted me.

But,I don't understand Ashley,how can they do this,we are fucking rich,probably top 5richest in the country,why would they sell me off?

No they didn't sell you off,they are your family and they love you,they want the best for you.

This isn't best ash,they shouldn't dictate who I marry,we ain't in the fucking 18th century...I can pick a guy by myself.

She sighed,you know what, I'll tell you a really important secret,just between the two of us,I nodded for her to go on.

Just get married to the guy,go away with him for 5months,when you guys get back and you start living together,make it up to one year or less and then file for a divorce,easy..that way you did what your parents wanted and you're also free...they would just think the marriage didn't workout.

I stared at her trying to process what she had said.
So you want me to get married to a total stranger whom I don't love or have any relationship with and then be in the marriage for a year and file for a divorce.

She smiled,precisely.

She laughed okay you can stop the bone crushing hug now.

I laughed as I wiped the tears away from my eyes.

Now I have to go dear,I'm sure Josh is looking for me now,am in a lot if trouble, you know how he gets.

I layed down on my bed and started wondering how my life is going to change starting from next week Saturday,who am I kidding,my life has already changed from the moment this news hit me..
