Sam's POV

This summer is going to be great. I don't know what me and Lindsey are but I'm loving every second of spending time with her. Kissing her just felt so right, and it was definitely needed. Now I can kiss her anytime I want. It sounds like a dream.

I'm thinking about all this stuff as we're driving home and grin. "What are you so happy about?" She says as she looks over at me. "You" I say glancing over at her while I'm driving. "Liar" She says smirking. "I swear to god, all I'm thinking about is you" I say and she smiles. She leans over and puts her hand on my thigh. I try to concentrate on the road. Don't get hard Sam. Don't Fucking do it, now is not the time. "You're going to make me crash" I say smirking. I see her cheeks grow a little pink and she starts to remove her hand. "Sorry" She says and bites her lip and looks at the window. I grab her Palm and press it back to my thigh. "Don't be" I say smiling. She squeezes my thigh lightly and turns the radio knob, looking for a good channel. "I love this song!" She says excitedly as one of my favorite songs come through the radio. "Me too" I say smiling. "Prove it" She says as she begins to sing. We both begin to sing along and I smile and laugh at some of the horrible notes she's hitting, and she does the same for me. She gets more quiet when the song does and I giggle as she sings.

"And tell me, did Venus blow your mind?

Was it everything you wanted to find?

And did you miss me

While you were looking for yourself out there?"

I smile at her while she sings and I can feel she's getting embarrassed. She looks at me and smiles. "No keep going" I say to her and she smiles and finishes the rest of the song as I hum it lightly. I fiddle with my phone and try to press record.

"Can you imagine no love, pride, deep-fried chicken

Your best friend always sticking up for you

Even when I know you're wrong?

Can you imagine no first dance, freeze-dried romance

Five-hour phone conversation

The best soy latte that you ever had, and me?

But tell me, did the wind sweep you off your feet?

Did you finally get the chance

To dance along the light of day

And head back toward the Milky Way?

But tell me, did you sail across the sun?

Did you make it to the Milky Way

To see the lights all faded

And that heaven is overrated?

And tell me, did you fall from a shooting star?

One without a permanent scar

And did you miss me

While you were looking for yourself?

na na na na na na na na na na na na na

And did you finally get the chance

To dance along the light of day?

na na na na na na na na na na

And did you fall from a shooting star?

Fall from a shooting star?

na na na na na na na na na

And were you lonely looking for yourself out there?"

She smiles at me when she's done and I take the phone off of record. "Can I lie to you really quick?" I say smiling. "Why not?" She says and looks over at me and smiles. "You are a beautiful singer" I say and smile. "Asshole" she says and grins. We both laugh lightly as we pull up to the drive way.
