"Nothing, it's just about to tell you, that I found my dad but I wasn't sure if I should tell you" I say. Oops I just said it to him, doesn't matter.
"If you come and get my dad with me, we can go back home" I say.
~~~
I knew Charles was happy after I said it, or should I say we knew Charles was happy after I said it. You can't believe how obvious it is, his jumping up and down and doing a dance. I'm guessing the dance is a happy dance? Ok doesn't matter about the dance. So I led Charles to where I found dad and finally we were there. I saw the man, right there getting a tent ready, that I think is Dad... No I'm positive it's Dad. I ran towards him, with a bit of nervousness. I didn't care if Charles was waiting there or not.
"Hey! Is that you Dad?" I called out. The man turned around, stopping to what he was doing.
"Is that you darling," says the man... Wait I mean Dad. I nodded. I saw his face lift up with a big smile.
"Barbara!" Dad says getting his hands out.
"Da---" Wait, did he just say Barbara? She is my cousin. I stopped and wondered. Oh why did I get tricked by the look of Barbara's dad, yeah I know he's my dad's twin brother. Uncle Richard. How stupid can I get.
"Tricked you," Wait he's not Uncle Richard, he's dad!? Errr why did I forget Dad likes to trick me all the time.
*Rumble rumble*
Oops this is so embarrassing, I bet Charles is looking at me weirdly right now and I am also in front of Dad. Jeez all this looking for mum and looking for dad, I forgot about food. Ouch my tummy is getting sore.
"Oh so you haven't eaten yet.. Hey Charles, come over here and have some lunch with Helen and I. I know you are hungry too, right now," says dad while rummaging through his bag.
"Oh thanks, Mr. Frank," says Charles in his usual up going persona.
Charles walked closer to us. I sort of hot because... because you know he heard my tummy rumble. And I felt this very weird feeling in my tummy. Let's just say I have butterflies.
"Ummm dad---"
"yes darling," dad responds.
"It's just now mum is gone and I met Charles there and we can't find his home or even our home. What can we do now?" I say.
"Oh darling you're still like I always remember you," says dad.
"Dad!"
"Ok ok darling you don't have to go serious, well all I can do is drop Charles back to his home until his parents are gonna be worried" says dad.
"Let's go then dad you lead the way," I say standing up.
