Hey guys, I'm absolutely new here at Wattpad and this is my first attempt at writing something.
Please please bear with me. Please comment and follow and all those other things that you can do.
(I'm not even sure.I'm so new.)
I did proofread it a few times but it might still have mistakes.
Be kind, please.
I don't intentionally make grammatical errors.
And please enjoy the story!
Much love.

"JAAAAADE."
Sitting in my bedroom, on my bed, I can clearly hear my sister's voice as she shouts from the driveway.
(I have a strong suspicion that I would be able to hear her even if I was sitting in northern Canada.)
"JADE. I'M LEAVING FOR WORK. IT'S YOUR FIRST DAY BACK TODAY. DON'T BE LATE OKAY?
I LOVE YOU!", she screams as she backs the Honda Prius out onto the road, honking all the while. I can't see her from where I'm sitting but I'm pretty sure she's ecstatically waving in the general direction of my window right now.
I'm not much for sisterly affection but I should atleast try to reciprocate. So, I flop over onto my belly and poke my left leg out of the window and wave it, as much as a leg can be waved.
That seems to satisfy her and I can hear her driving away, honking intermittently.
I am awake but I don't intend to get up. This blissful state between sleeping and waking is my favourite. First day back, who cares?
A few minutes pass.
An hour passes.
My alarm clock rings for a long while, rings some more and eventually accepts defeat and cries quietly in the corner.
Finally my cellphone rings and forces me to get off my bed and stagger towards the table.
"Hey Z whazgoinon?" I mumble.
"Jade! Why do you sound like you just got out of bed?", says my best friend, sounding increasingly anxious.
"Um. Maybe because I did?", I offer.
"You- WHAT- No- Jade Elizabeth Embers! First day of Senior Year is about to start in 20 minutes. You better be ready and looking fabulous when I come to pick you up in 5 minutes, or so help me God, I will leave you on the side of the road.", she says in rapid succession and then hangs up.
"Shit", I say.
First day back to school and I'm going to have to walk to school. I hate walking. Or any kind of physical activity for that matter.
I take a shower and brush my teeth in 60 seconds flat. I pull on a pair of black skinny jeans, a black tank top and a short black jacket. I tug my fiery red hair into a high ponytail, line my eyes, grab my backpack and run. Downstairs I grab a few cookies from the tin and run outside with my black hightops in my hand.
Sure enough, without a second to spare, Z pulls up in her Camaro and honks. Her blond hair is cut short and spiky. She gives my outfit a once over and shakes her head.
"Hey hey I'm here, stop honking.", I say opening the passenger side door and throwing my backpack in. I get in with my sneakers in my hand and pull them on.
