Syria, Palestine, Iraq, Burma, Srilanka, Afghanistan, Pakistan and the list goes on. The sufferings of the Muslim Ummah knows no bound at the moment. But what's more agonizing is the deafening silence of the rest of the Ummah. Turning a blind eye on our brothers and sisters. We can only hope that we are shown mercy By Allah(swt).

Dusk meets dawn
The sun graces the horizon
Darkness finds light
In their own harmonic fusion
Like a captive soul I feel inside,
So trapped in my own prison.
An ungrateful servant
So selfishly unobservant
Of the anguish that surrounded
And the pains of confinement.
The cries of the people
For justice and for freedom
For salvation and redemption
From the realm of evil.
But nights after night I silently retired
With a sense of contentment I so strongly desired
Neglecting my brothers in need so dire
To come to their aid I did not aspire.
But with sincere apology in my heart
Oh my Lord I plea!
Show you’re infinite forgiveness and mercy upon me.
For all my brothers against contempt
For all my sisters disgraced and shamed
For all the lives I didn’t defend
Oh my Lord!
Where do I put all these regret?
For all the times I lost
Waiting for a miracle to happen
For all the chances I gave
For the evil to ascend
For all the torments endured
As I failed to protect
Oh my Lord!
How do I make amends?
Oh the Ever Forgiver
I heartily confess
Only on your forgiveness that I depend
For not a tree leaf shakes without your consent.
So with sincere apology in my heart
Oh my Lord I plea!
Rise me on the fateful day,
With those with whom You’re pleased.
