Maya is shaking as the doctor is getting what he needs from the ultrasound and he turns to us saying, " Do multiples run in either family?" We answer at once "no" "Well, they do now. You guys are having twins, due in late September, early October." "We what??" We say in unison "Twins, congrats you two. I'm gonna go get something for you guys, Maya, I'll be right back." No sooner as he left do I talk "Twins, umm, wow I'm a little shocked." "Yeah, me to. I understand if you wanna walk away, twins is a lot of work and your a senior with med school still then residency and fellowship to go. I want you to follow through and finish." "Maya, I'm not going anywhere. Yeah, I still have another 7 years of school left, but your not doing this alone. I'm here to stay baby." With that the doctor comes back and hands us each a little piece of paper,no bigger then a note card, I look, it's the ultrasound picture of our babies. Omg, this just be came real. As I look at the picture my decision is made, forever starts now for us,but first we have to tell our families, this gonna be great. I'm a dead man. Shawn and Corey are gonna kill me.
I get Maya into my car and we head out. We stop at a stop sign and I turn to her "Maya, we need to tell our families, now versus later. You do realize that Shawn and Corey are going to kill me right." "I know that's why I'm so scared. Let also not forget Farkle, Lucas, and Zay." And I all I can do is groan. "Great, lets go I have an idea. Text everyone to meet us at Topanga's tonight."
