Maya and josh the long game

It's been 30 minutes and the Faith is the first to come out the special thing they do is sing "happy birthday" it was so cute. It's official September 11th and for my family this day of sadness has changed forever with two little babies. Little Lucas was next. When the doctor announced both were healthy and each 5.5 pounds we breathed a sigh of relief. "Their lungs are a little under developed but they can breath on their own." Says Dr. Jones.

We have been back in our room for an hour and we have Lucas and Faith in our arms we call everyone in to meet them. As they come in I zero in on Smackle she is staying to the back of the group. "Hey Smackle come here for a second please." "How can I help Josh?" is all she asks "come here" and I sit Lucas in one arm and Faith in the other. The look of love and pride on her face as she understood the honor we had just given her. The rest of our family gathers around to get a good look at them when I hear Topanga say to Corey and Shawn "Omg they look like Josh did that day he was born." Shawn turns to her to say "yeah especially little Lucas." I can't help but smile knowing my family loves my kids.

It's been two weeks since Lucas and Faith were born and it's been crazy. We got lucky the twins were born during a break so I didn't have to take school off and Maya didn't either but classes start back in two days it's time to bring the family together to get a babysitting schedule going it's only two days we need a sitter for cause the other days Maya only has two classes and they are early and mine don't start til about 2pm but Thursday and Friday we have to work something out cause Maya has two art labs and art theory and classical art class and it clashes with my schedule cause I have a bio lab, a chem lab, and two other med classes, not to mention that night a political science class.
We walk in with the twins Riley and Smackle get to us and hold out arms,Riley has Lucas and Smackle has Faith. This gives Maya and a maya moment to go over to her mom and dad and my brother and his wife. Shawn speaks first, "So, how are two doing? How are you feeling Maya ? Is this dork taking care of you guys?" "Yes dad." Is all Maya says "where are my grandkids ?I want to hold one." I point to Riley and Smackle "See if you can pry one from them." Katy and Topanga go off to bully my niece and one of my best friends for a chance to hold one of our twins and succeed. Topanga comes back with Faith and informs us that the sitting schedule is set so no worries then Shawn and Katy make an announcement that shocks us all. Looking Maya dead in the eye Shawn say "Maya you are going to be a big sister." The look of shock on Maya's frozen face is priceless I wish I had taken a picture of it.
