Sam's POV
"Come on." I muttered.
"Do you even know where you're going?" Cas inquired.
"Yeah. The other room."
Cas followed as I stormed angrily into the other room, my hands balling into tight fists as I stomped out. My eyes were stinging with tears, angry, hurt, heartbroken. I needed to find my brother, and even though I couldn't get Crowley, I knew somebody I could get. Somebody who I knew could drag themselves back from the dead. Someone I knew had to be alive, even though I watched them die. I knew that she was just clever enough to pull herself out of Purgatory. How I knew? I didn't. It was just a hunch. But she was my only hope.
I forgot about Cas and I started the summoning. I had it set up already, from where I tried to summon Crowley. I changed the spell, just a little bit, and watched, waited... And then, a familiar face appeared, a face that I found both horrible and wonderful, ugly and beautiful, an enemy and a friend. Dark hair, black eyes, leather jacket, purple tank, and strange yet signature necklace. She had gotten rid of the blonde and pink and went back to normal. Beautiful and hideous. It was the one and only, Meg Masters.
One may wonder why I chose to summon someone who had been dead for so long. I figured that that she was alive after the number of old, familiar demons had dropped. She would be killing them, angry for joining Crowley, or something. Plus, I knew that she wanted to kill Crowley more than anybody. She was smart, too. She could figure out where Crowley was, track him down, find where he had taken Dean. And Meg could kill Crowley, and then I could figure out how to fix my brother.
"Well, hey there Clarence. Took you long enough. I thought you would call sooner." Meg smirked.
"It's been... Busy." Cas replied.
"So I've heard."
She looked up at the ceiling, noticing the Devil's Trap that stood above her. She crossed her arms over her chest, popping out a hip, standing there with an annoyed look on her face. I stared at her, not wavering. She smirked, flicking her eyes back toward Castiel, eying him and letting her eyes turn back to brown.
"Well? What do you want?" She inquired.
"It's Crowley. He has Dean. And we need your help." Cas replied quickly for me.
"That scumbag has your boyfriend now, Clarence? And I'm assuming he clipped your wings and screwed with your grace, too? I've been a bit of a hermit, so not too caught up. Purgatory didn't treat kindly to me. But I'm in the market for some revenge, so count me in."
"No, it wasn't Crowley this time. It was Metatron, but he's not our concern right now. Purga-"
We never told Cas about Meg dying. I quickly decided that maybe I would explain later, once we found Dean and everything settled down. Didn't matter by then, though. Meg was there, alive and well. She looked okay enough. Maybe a little scarred from Purgatory. I could see scars on her hands and wrists, and there was no doubt that there were plenty more hidden by her clothes. I hadn't been there more than a few minutes myself, so I hadn't seen its horrors, but I heard about them from Dean. Only when he was talking in his sleep though, of course.
"So you'll help us?" I interrupted, not giving him the chance to question.
"Sure. I think I owe Crowley a - what do you and Dean call it - oh yeah, a ganking. He's not getting away again. I'll help you hunt them down. If you'll let me out of this thing."
I pulled my gun from my jeans and tightened my finger around the trigger tightly. The familiar jerk slammed against my arm as the bullet ripped through the air, splitting the air and splitting the wood, releasing the demon. Smirking, she sauntered out until she was standing nose-to-nose with Cas, making me just a little uncomfortable.
