It was just a normal day with your boyfriend Calum. It was beautiful outside so the two of you spent the day at the park, all the way up until the sun set and the stars were twinkling overhead.

You laid on a grassy hill next to Calum, looking up at the sky and just talking.

Your hand rested next to you when you started to feel Calum's fingers lace with yours. You didn't even say anything, just blushing at the stars.

After a little while of silence, comfortable silence though, Calum turned on his side to look at you.

"I've had an amazing day with you
(Y/N)." Calum said smiling and looking into your eyes.

"I've had an amazing day with you too Cal." You said smiling back.

Calum leaned in to kiss you but was quickly interrupted by his phone ringing.

"Ugh..of course. Hold on a sec babe." Calum said, taking his phone out of his pocket.

You watched Calum as the expression on his face immediately changed from frustrated to shocked.

"Oh my god...Is he okay? Okay. We'll be right there." Calum said hanging up.

"What's going on Calum?" You say worried as you both get up.

"That was Luke...Ashton's been in a car accident." Calum said quietly. You could hear the worry and emotion in his voice as the mood of your date instantly changed.

The ride to the hospital was an eerie silence...

Calum's eyes were fixed on the road and you didn't know what to say so you figured it was best to just not say anything. You prayed that Ashton was okay. You know he was like a brother to Calum and Ashton was also a good friend to you as well. You actually met Calum through Ashton. You could still remember the day Ashton introduced you like it was yesterday.

Calum drove to the hospital as fast as he could without going too far over the speed limit. When you arrived he parked the car in the first space he could find and hurriedly made his way into the hospital, grasping your hand tightly from the nerves.

You made it up to Ashton's room and you were suddenly taken back by everything. Michael, Luke, their mums, and Ashton's family were all in the room. Scared and sad expressions spread across their faces. It was a very solemn atmosphere and you'd never experienced this before.

Then you got your first look at Ashton. He was laying in the bed with a hospital gown on. His eyes were closed and he looked like he'd gotten injured pretty bad. You could see cuts on his face and a dark bruise near his eye.

Seeing him like that made tears form in your eyes and you wrapped your arm around Calum who was still trying to process what had happened.

Luke and Michael came over to you guys. Luke quickly wiped a tear from his eye. You'd never seen either of the boys cry before.

"Thanks for coming guys." Michael said quietly.

"You wouldn't have to ask us twice. How's he doing?" Calum asked nervously.

"He's got a couple broken ribs and he experienced some head trauma..." Luke said.

Calum, Luke, and Michael all exchanged hugs and then it was your turn to hug each of them.

"The doctor said he should make close to a full recovery though." Michael said, trying to lighten the mood with some good news.

"Thats good to hear." You said holding onto Calum's hand.

The doctor soon told everyone it was time to clear out and give Ashton some space. The boys and their mums went to the hospital cafeteria to get something to eat and Ashton's family made their way to the waiting room. You can Calum stopped in the hallway. Calum didn't feel like sitting down or getting anything to eat.

"He'll be okay Calum. I promise." You said facing Calum and holding on to both of his hands as he leaned his back against the wall outside Ashton's room.

"I've never been so scared or worried about Ashton in my entire life. I was scared we lost him (Y/N)." Calum said getting chocked up.

You gently wiped a tear from his cheek and he pulled you into a tight hug.

"Oh Calum.. Everything's going to be okay." You whisper in his ear, trying to sound calm for him. You knew you had to be strong for the two of you and help him get through this.

"I love you (Y/N). I don't know what I'd do without you." Calum said leaning out of the hug and kissing you on the cheek.

"I love you too Calum. And I'll be right here with you." You said looking into his eyes.
