You and Calum have been dating for a couple years now and Christmas is coming up. You two always get each other the nicest gifts and spend Christmas Eve together with your families. Its become a tradition.

You two decide to go out shopping together to buy presents for the family. There's a pet store nearby and you two decide to go in for the heck of it.

You walk into the store hand-in-hand and you're automatically hit by the strong pet aroma.

"Let's go look at the puppies (Y/N)!"

Calum has always had a soft spot for puppies and you found it adorable.

Calum leads you over to the puppies and theres a little gate up with several puppies laying down inside.

Calum kneels down sticking his hand in the gate.

"Awee they're adorable!" You say gushing at the sleepy puppies.

One little one looks at Cal and gets up licking Cal's finger that he's sticking through the gate.

"Can I pick him up?" Calum asks the owner who's sitting nearby watching us.

"Yeah that's fine, just be careful." the woman says.

Calum gently picks up the fluffy white puppy that has given Cal its attention.
Cal's eyes widen as he looks at the fragile little puppy that's in his hands.

"Oh my god he's so cute! Why's he so cute?! (Y/N) look!" Calum says excitedly.

You hadn't seen him this excited about something in awhile, and thats when you got the best idea. You knew what you were getting Calum for christmas.

"Hey Calum its getting late, we should probably hurry and finish the rest of our shopping..." You say changing the subject.

"What time is it?" Calum asks, still holding the puppy in his arms.

"Almost 6:30"

"Oh shit, yeah we better get going..." Calum says gently putting the puppy down inside the gate. "Goodbye little guy." He says pouting as you both walk away from the puppies.

It's Christmas Eve and Calum is with you and your family. You are about to exchange gifts with him so you run up to your room to get his gift. You put the puppy inside a box with holes.

You come downstairs and find Calum on the couch waiting for you and his face lights up when he sees you.

You sit down next to Calum and he rests his hand on your leg. It was just a natural thing that Calum did when you sat next to him.

"Okay Cal, open my present first. I don't know how long it'll be able to stay quiet." You say grinning at him.

"Well okay.." He says confused.

He opens up the lid of the box and peeks inside. You watch him as his face lights up just like it did at the pet store.

"Oh my god (Y/N) you got me the puppy?!" Cal says picking it up.

"Yeah I could tell how much you liked him." You say smiling. "So what are you gonna name him Cal?"

"How bout....Ketchup."

"Seriously babe?"

"Yeah why not?!"

"Okay, Ketchup it is." You say throwing your hands up, agreeing with him.

"Okay its time for your present babe." Cal says smiling at you. He pulls out a cute little box with a bow wrapped around it and slowly gets down on one knee.

"(Y/N), you make me feel like the happiest guy ever. These past couple years with you have been the best years of my life. You support me in everything I do and I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend. I want to spend the rest of my life with you and our new little member of the family.." He says as Ketchup climbs onto your lap. Tears start to form in your eyes. You didn't expect this at all.

"....(Y/N), will you marry me?" Calum asks you.

"Of course! Yes!" You says almost crying.

Calum slides the ring onto your finger and stands up, giving you a kiss.

"Awwwwwww" you hear your family say together. You almost forgot they were watching this whole time.

You stop and look at your family but then Calum gently puts his hand on your face, as if asking you to kiss him again so thats exactly what you do.

"I love you Cal."

"I love you more."

So theres my first Calum imagine! I hope you guys liked it! I got the idea from that vine I saw of Cal holding a fan's puppy and then ya christmas is coming up so I threw that in there too :) i wasn't planning on making it a proposal on for my first imagine but idk it seemed right lol
