Chapter 1 - Coming Out

In the early morning of Brinsgville, Alabama on a normal day. 17-year old Hunter is going to have the time of his life. "Hunter, can you come down?" Miranda asked calling from the living room. "Yes, give me a minute," Hunter replied. "Now Hunter, this is important!" Miranda screamed at him. "Coming." Hunter went downstairs from his room wondering what could be so important. Then he saw these odd looking people next to his parents. They looked like they were from the government. "What's going on? And why is the government here?" Hunter was very confused. "Let me explain, you are not like other teenagers. You have a gift, and with that gift, it needs to be used or you will lose it forever. There is a school named Jands. They will help you to learn and to control your gift." Miranda explained.

"How does that include the government?" Hunter asked he had no idea what was going on. "These men are not with the government. They are teachers at Jands. One teaches Hydro which is water. And the other teaches Hypno which is all of the gifts in one." Miranda explained. "You were meant to do this son," John explained. "I am a Myrathe - mind. Your mother is Decro - undead." John said. "What if I don't want to? Does anyone care about how I feel in all this?!" Hunter was mad and shocked. "Of course we care honey, but you can't ignore this. I every time something odd happened to you or around you that there was no reason why it happened. Those were signs that you have a gift and you must use them." Miranda explained. The choice was already made and there was no negotiating between them.

Hunter said goodbye to his parents and left for Jands. When he got there he was in the middle of the forest. He had to walk for miles. 30 minutes later he came upon a mansion. And outside were tons of people his age. "There more people here than I thought," Hunter said. "You must take the test, young one."The Hypno teacher explained. "A test what test?" Hunter was confused. (again) "You must take a test to see what is your gift. The results don't come in until a year later. When you are done with the test are sent back to your hose until you receive a letter showing your results." The Hydro teacher explained.

So Hunter took the test and was sent back home to his parents. "Your back already?" John was surprised to see him the next day. "Hello to you too dad," Hunter said sarcastically. "I just thought you would be back at least three months later from now. " John replied. "Did you take your test?" Miranda asked. "Yeah, I took it," Hunter replied. "We just thought you would be taking that test longer, it took me five months to complete it," John explained. "It took me a year to finish it." Explained Marinda. "Are you sure you finished it?" Asked Miranda. "Yes, I finished and they told to come back home," Hunter explained.

"Okay, then. Get ready for school tomorrow. It's your first day as a junior. REMEMBER, DO NOT TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!" Hunter's parents explained. "Okay, okay." The next day, Hunter started his junior year of High School. First, he had Chemistry, then he had History. Something happened in is History class though. Hunter meat a girl named Kaylee. No one liked her, she was strange like him. He didn't know what to think of her. They started to hang out and became close friends. "Does Kaylee have a gift like me?"  Hunter thought. He was confused on why they got along so well. Only time will tell.
