Before I got back home, I stopped at a gas station to make sure I didn't look like shite and to fix my makeup. I walked just a couple blocks and arrived at Kaitlynn's house. I walk in and see Mrs. R passed out on the couch with more empty beer bottles next to her. At least she's still here and doing.. Well.. better then me tbh. I walked to the guest room and saw a nicely wrapped gift laying in the center of the bed.

I noticed that there was a note taped to the box. I picked up the note and it read, "I thought this would help you during this difficult time. Feel better! -Chris" I smiled as I set the note down and opened the box. In the box was one of my favorite jackets of Kaitlynn's and another note. It read, "Hey! I know you miss me. And I know life isn't good at home. I thought I'd give you this. Something to remember me by. - Kait"

I felt more tears roll down my already tear stained cheeks. It.. It was Kaitlynn's handwriting.. I started crying again when I heard a soft knock at my door. I walked over and opened it. Only to find a police officer standing there. The same one from the crime scene.. "Are you Miss Ciara Green..?" He asked me in a low voice. "Yes, is there something wrong? H-have you found anything..?" I asked in a thick Irish accent.

"I'm afraid not, ma'am. Whoever did this to you sister obviously knows what they're doing. We found no evidence of a break in, no fingerprints, no weapon... Nothing..." He said with sadness and a bit of anger laced in his voice, "We have no leads. I'm sorry but, we have to close this case. There's nothing more we can do.." I slowly nodded as I closed the door. There goes my last bit of hope. I feel like my whole world is coming apart. I thought about when he called her my sister. A small smile formed and I slid down the bedroom door. There's nothing left.. I have to be the one to get her justice.. Time to find a murderer.
