Chapter 6

(Doctor's point of view) I go inside the tardis and plug the sonic screwdriver into the console for a reading. There's something about Anna. Why have the shadows followed her in particular throughout her entire life? Also Anna reads as a regular human, but she has background radiation that suggest that she's been in space before. Also she's quick to figure out alien plots, too quick for an average human. I need to figure out why. The tardis will tell me the situation.

The tardis is taking a long time to read the scanning. Strange, usually she's quick. I go in the cloak room to look for a jacket for Anna. I find a light waistcoat that looks about the right style for the early twenty-first century. I wonder if the scan has finished. I've been waiting at least thirty minutes. I hope Anna didn't get bored and wander off like humans so often do.

I go back into the console room and the scan is finally finishing up. It says that Anna has a large amount of cosmic radiation surrounding her, as if she lived in space. How could she have lived in space? That's impossible. Anna did say she had nightmares about shadows during the lower points in life. I can feel my eyes widening as I gasp. The shadows took her into space and experimented on her, and I left her outside the tardis!

I run outside the door and Anna isn't there! "Anna!" I yell.

Wait what am I doing? I could've just given away her position if they don't have her. I think I'm the most irresponsible time lord in existence. Just then I hear a scream; it's Anna. I run in her direction as fast as my legs will carry me.
