I cheered as the doctor broke from the grips of the shadows. He took out his screwdriver and pointed at the shadows. They covered their ears as if the screwdriver hurt them. The doctor ran over to me and pointed the screwdriver at the cuffs holding my hands and feet down. They opened and I jumped off the table. The doctor pointed the screwdriver at a console and took my had. He looked at me and said, "Run." I obliged.

We ran down the long hall that the tardis was parked in and the doctor wasted no time in piloting the tardis out of there. I stood panting and out of breath. If the doctor lets me have more adventures with him I'll get into great shape. "We got out of there just in time," I said still panting.

"All part of the life," he said giving me a smile that looked sad to me.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Somewhere important," he said. "But I've got a small detour to make first."

I felt a stop and the doctor opened the doors. I looked out and we were in space. "It's beautiful!" I exclaimed.

"I didn't want your all your memories of space associated with pain and misery," said the doctor. "Space is full of beauty and adventure. I wanted you to be able to see it that way, if only one time."

I felt a pang in my heart. "I'm not going with you out there am I doctor."

"No, I'm afraid not," the doctor said.

"Why not?" I said turning my gaze from space to the doctor. "I have nothing waiting for me down on Earth."

"That's where your wrong," said the doctor. "If I take you with me now I'll be stopping you from your greatest adventure."

"You're my greatest adventure doctor. Nothing interesting ever happened until you came along," I said feeling genuine tears coming this time.

"Nah," said the doctor smile widening. "You said yourself that everyone is important. You more so than you realize. People like you need to rebuild down on Earth. It won't be easy, and you've got a long road ahead. Anna, I promise it'll be worth it. You'll see."

I hugged the doctor with tears still running down my face. "Will I ever see you again?" I said with my face in his chest.

"I hope so said the doctor." He raised my head up, "Don't worry. You're smart and tough. You'll be okay. If I see you again, that will be my greatest adventure."

I wiped my tears and nodded. I noticed the tardis had moved while we were talking. I opened the door and saw my house across the street. "Thank you for everything doctor," I said. "If I see you again I won't let you get away so easily." I walked out the door of the tardis and the door closed behind me. I heard a wheezing sound. I turned around and saw the tardis fading away.
