I was trying my best to sleep in my whole Saturday, but unfortunately my phone kept ringing. I lazily picked it up. "Hello?" I asked not looking at the number.
I haven't actually owned a phone since I was 14 so it was nice to have my aunt gift me one. "Hey beautiful."I heard the familiar voice say into the phone.
"Hey Chris."I yawned while sitting up in my bed. I shouldn't know him just from his voice I barely met this boy. Plus he was the only boy with my number.
A couple days ago at school he had asked me for my number and I ended up giving it to him, because why not. "Im sorry did I wake you?" He asked.
"Kind of."I answered putting the phone on speaker while I got up and made my way to my closet.
"Oh, I can call you back if your-"
"No you're fine."I cut him off.
"Well I was just seeing if you wanted to go out with me tonight?"
I actually choked on air. Did he just ask me out on a date? "Like a date."I looked at the phone, feeling my cheeks heat up.
"Sort of, if that's okay with you?" He commented. "I know we've only known each other for like two weeks but I'm really interested in getting to know you."
"You know what I would love to go out with you tonight." I replied letting a smile fall on my face. I can't believe he felt that way. I hope he was being for real and playing no stupid game.
"Cool." He stated.
"Where are we going though?" I asked him looking back at my closet not knowing what I would wear.
"Yeah, I'm not gonna tell you that. Just dress in something cute but simple. Does 8 work for you?"He asked.
"Yes sir."
"Alright then I leave you alone for now since you stuck with me later on." He let out a laugh.
I laughed quietly at him. "Goodbye Chris." I chuckled.
"Bye Imani." He said before I pressed the end button.
Shit! I'm going on a date. My real first date! I'm gonna go let my aunt know right now.
