Start the Rush Part 2

Carlos sits on the arm of the couch next to me, "Well I really appreciate it. With all of the excitement I must have dropped it and didn't realize it."

Kendall smiles at me and all I can see is dimples for days, and says, "Yeah you guys seemed to be in a hurry...Or is that how you treat all your favorite rock stars?" he jokes.

James laughs, "If you only knew." 

Kendall looks around, "Is it cool if I sit?" he asks.

Carlos quickly moves me over and sits next to me, giving Logan the arm of the couch so that our guest will have a chair. 

We all sit there in an awkward silence before Kendall finally says, "Soooo..."

Logan laughs, "Dude you wouldn't believe it if we told you."

Kendall smiles, "Try me."

I cut Logan a look telling him he better not and apparently Carlos didn't see me so he starts, "Well our friend here..."

I kick him, "Ow!" he exclaims grabbing his leg. He starts again, "Lets just say it was our friends first night out in a while. Thanks for making it memorable." he chuckles.

I'm just sitting there staring at Kendall but every time he turns his look to me I hide behind Ali.

Kendall and the guys talk a bit and I can tell by his demeanor he isn't your every day rock star. There is something about him. Well besides the fact that his sexiness is about to drive me insane that is.

I lean over and whisper into Ali's ear. 

"Kendall..." she starts, "You don't really act like a bad ass rock star like you do on tv. What's up with that?"

He looks at her, almost in shock but slowly a smile crosses his face, "So is that YOU asking or your friend who doesn't like to talk to anyone?"

Logan jumps in, "Oh trust me bro. Normally you can't shut her up."

I hit Logan in the arm. Ali never answers the question but laughs. Finally Kendall says, "I tell you what. I will answer that question if the rest of you give me some names. I know Carlos here, thanks to his mom, but the rest of you are...Well I don't know who you are." he chuckles.

James introduces everyone. Kendall smiles, "Well its finally nice to meet you." He hesitates looking around and Logan's guitar in the corner of the room grabs his eye, "Do you mind?" Kendall asks.

Logan looks at him in disbelief and for the first time since he got there I find my nerve to speak, "You aren't going to play all that heavy rock star stuff in this house at this hour of the night. There are kids sleeping."

Kendall starts to laugh, "Well she does speak."

He takes the guitar from Logan and starts to play a very mellow song and I hear James, Logan, and Carlos starting to quietly sing. It was the first time I had heard them sing since our Junior talent show in high school. It immediately put me at ease. I put my arm around Carlos and put my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes. He kissed my forehead and any stress I had left immediately dissapated. Kendall starts to sing with them and its the most amazing thing I have ever heard. I'm mesmerized by the whole thing.
