Andy's POV

Rye and I are currently on our way to the castle. I was a little sad about leaving Max alone because in just one year, we have become really good friends. He was just as heartbroken about it as me.

"I'm really sad right now. I've grown attached to you, Andy. And Even though I knew you'd leave one day, somewhere in my heart, I wished that you'd stay with me forever. Anyways, It's your life and you have a family, I understand why you want to go back. I'm happy for you." He had said with a small sad smile.

Honestly, It was one of the most emotional moments for me until Rye decided to speak up. He was already annoyed at my close friendship with Max. And after hearing the emotional exchange between us, He just couldn't stay quiet.

"Yeah, I'm happy for Andy too. Because he won't be living here anymore." Rye had remarked sassily.

I had reprimanded him for it slightly, to which he just grunted and looked away. I also sensed Max's genuine dislike towards my husband but I kept quiet. Rye did insult him a lot of times so It made sense why Max didn't like him. I could almost imagine him saying,

"Your Rye is NOTHING like what you described. Smart? Sweet? Caring? Pfft. More like an arrogant jerk/Prince Who only cares about what he wants."

But that doesn't matter because Max doesn't know Rye like I do. He doesn't know that behind this jerk is an obedient son, a loving husband and a caring father.

Max had ignored Rye and promised me that he would visit me and Javier occasionally, to which Rye had snorted and rolled his eyes but otherwise remained quiet. I had also heard him warn Max when I went to grab my bag from the other room.

"Don't you dare come near MY Andy, again. Forget about visiting him and all that sweet bullshit you were saying earlier."

And before Max could reply back, I made my presence known, to avoid the fight which would've probably taken place in a next few minutes. And If I pretended that I didn't hear Rye and despite not agreeing with him, His protectiveness still made me smile, Then no one has to know.

After finally bidding Goodbye to Max, Rye and I started our journey back home.

Home. The place where I belong. With Rye and Javier.

Javier. I miss my son so much. Even though I just saw him a few days ago, I still miss him because the person Javier met at the mall was not his father. Instead It was some stranger, who he calls 'Pwetty', according to Rye.

It hurts because I've missed a whole year of my son's life. I've missed all the big things like seeing him grow up, hearing him say his first word, teaching him how to walk and feeling proud when he took his first steps. And all the little things like watching him sleep, playing with him, kissing his chubby cheeks, even making his formula, feeding him, bathing him, every single thing that I was supposed to do, I wasn't there to do it.

I smiled as I thought about How It would've been like If Both Rye and I raised Javier up, like a proper couple would do. We would've probably argued all the time about little things, like which clothes to buy, who gets to hold Javier and of course, teaching Javier his first word 'Dada' while we argued about who he called Dada. I could totally imagine me and Rye bickering over that.

"He called me DADA."

"No HE CALLED ME DADA"

Yes, I could totally imagine that happening. I smiled as a giggle threatened to leave my lips at the thought.

"What are you thinking about, Princess?" Rye asked, breaking me out of my thoughts.

"Someone I love very much." I replied with a small smile.
