Viridian Forest & bugs

Ciar's POV

As I woke I heard something moving around the room so I decided to peek. I opened my right eye slightly and looked around the room until I saw what it was. Ash had showered and had apparently forgotten his towel... 'no. bad. bad Ciar. calm yourself down I turned over on my stomach, groaned, and placed my head on the pillow. 'Today is gonna be a long day' I sighed. I waited a while and then peeked to see if Ash had gotten ready yet and he had. I rolled over again but rolled too much and ended up falling off my bed and on the floor with a scream "AAAAHHHHH!" *thud*

"Ciar? Ciar?! are you okay?" Ash yelled and rushed towards my side picking me up and placing me on the bed sitting down.

"Yeah, don't worry I just fell. Thanks. so we are headed to Viridian Forest next right?" I asked rubbing my back

"Yeah come on and get ready, I already packed most of our stuff," he said and I couldn't help but smile at how helpful Ash is. I grabbed the packed stuff and headed downstairs with Ash in tow. We walked up to Nurse Joy and gave her the key with a thank you. Thinking I should probably practice my telepathic powers I skimmed at Nurse Joy's surfaced thoughts and blushed. 'I hope they didn't make a mess in there. They are so cute together!' oh gosh... "Ash let's go," I said pulling him to the exit and onto the road while he asks me why I'm in such a hurry.

As we walked down Viridian's path I spotted her. Misty Waterflower and from where she was standing I would think she was afraid of going into the forest. Then again she is afraid of bugs.. "Hey, Ash when we get near her bump into her accidentally so we don't alter the timeline too much." He nodded and we kept walking until I could hear her muttering about bugs and saw as Ash bumped into her and actually fell accidentally taking Pikachu down with him which caused Pikachu to shoot a bolt of electricity into the bike next to Misty charring it completely.

"Oh no! My bike!" said Misty and pointed at Ash and took out a mallet from nowhere "This is your fault!" Just as she was about to hit Ash I stepped in and pushed her mallet away with the back of my hand. "I suggest you watch where you swing that thing unless you want officer Jenny on your ass," I said placing a hand on my side and staring at her. "If you want you can travel with us until we get enough money to pay off that bike. Other than that don't touch him unless you want a missing hand. Not everyone is your punching bag." I told her and watched as her face turned red in rage. She then nodded and look towards Ash "I'm Misty" she said and sighed "Ash Ketchum" he said getting up. "Well, let's get going," I said and started walking into the forest with Misty and Ash next to me.

We walked further and further into the forest, with tense silence between Misty and me. Ash tapped me on the shoulder and motioned in front of us signaling the Caterpie that was crawling across the path. "that's him" I whispered and he nodded running ahead and twirling his cap backward. "Caterpie I challenge you to a battle!" he said taking out a Pokeball and releasing Pidgey. "Pidgey run up to it and peck!" Ash yelled. "Pidge!" it said and ran towards Caterpie with its beak glowing. Just as Pidgey was about to reach her goal Caterpie tied up her feet together using a string shot making Pidgey fall. "Pidgey use peck and break the webbing then fly up!" yelled Ash. Pidgey broke the string and flew up dodging string shot after string shot. "Great now fly above it. Once you find the right amount of height descend at max speed while using peck!" Yelled Ash once again but this time a bit tense. He was going to pull a trick. I looked at Pidgey and saw her start to descend with her beak glowing. Caterpie then moved and crawled as fast as it could toward the tree. Pidgey spotted that and pulled up right before she hit the ground and kept chasing after the Caterpie while getting enveloped in white light then hitting the Caterpie sending it smack into a tree. My eyes widened. He just.. "Now for the Pokeball." he said and tapped the Pokeball on Caterpie's head causing it to get sucked in and instantly "ping" signifying capture.

"Ash did you just teach Pidg-" I got interrupted by Ash who was smiling brightly and petting Pidgey. "yes I taught her Aerial Ace and ill teach her more in training as well as this little guy," he said releasing Caterpie who he then used a potion on which recovered its health. I nodded smiling and then turned to look at misty who was staring at Ash with a hazy look in her eyes and mouth slightly parted in shock. "Well time to move on," we said at the same time and walked further down the path with misty trailing behind us.

Along the way, Ash and I battled a bunch of bug-type pokemon and trainers. At some point, I caught a scyther and Ash a Pinsir. He also caught a Weedle and I felt like I needed a rest. We decided we would send these Pokemon back to the Ranch. We sat down for a bit on a log and I felt something weird on my shoulder. I looked to the side and almost screamed when I saw what was currently rubbing against my shoulder. A Caterpie. Not just any Caterpie. It was a pink-colored Caterpie with light blue antennae. I gasped and caught the attention of the rest. "What is that!?" screeched Misty. Ash took out the Pokedex and scanned it for information.

Caterpie: it releases a stench from its antenna to repel enemies. It grows by molting repeatedly. Beware: this Caterpie seems to have been altered by an environmental hazard its genetics have been exposed to. It is completely normal besides the coloring.

"This is.." I said "the same Butterfree" Ash finished. We looked at each other and laughed. This couldn't get any better. I looked at the Caterpie and tapped it with my Pokeball since it seemed to like me so much it caught instantly. "Well, that's that. Lets continu-" "HYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" there was a yell and looked at where it came from only to see a katana coming down upon me. I don't have the time to move. Is this the end of me?
