It faded to darkness again, But only for a minute. There was another bright light but nothing like the sun in the spiritual world. Incoherent voices can be hard, and the figure of humans are seen filling up the room. The eyes adjust and she sees, she is back in the hospital bed. Her Mother is crying into her father's. She repeats the same thing over and over again. "Thank God."
She looks to another side of the room, doctors and nurses are scrambling around the monitors and IV cords. One doctor carries a clipboard he's flipping through the pages on it and stops, he whispers something...."It's a miracle."
A nurse goes over Yoshiro and starts to talk to her like a baby.
"Hi sweetie, how are you feeling"
"...good.." It takes her a bit but she responds in a quiet voice. It's hard for her to speak.
"That's good sweetie. I'm going to show you a light and move it. Your job is to follow it with your eyes. Can You do that for me?"
Yoshiro nods, it easier then talking.
The nurse shines a pen light in front of her and she moves it from one side to another for 20 seconds. Yoshiro eyes follow after it.
"Good Job sweetie"
The nurse leaves and starts to talk to one of the doctors in the room.
"There's no neuro damage at all, she is able to speak but I think it's hard for her. Other then that she's fine. I've never seen anyone been in a coma for that long and have no neurologic damage"
That same nurse goes over to Yoshiro's parents and explains to them the condition of their daughter.
"Your daughter is in top health, Even after 7 months she has suffered no brain damage. She will be kept in the hospital for a few more days just to make sure nothing happens, after that she is free to go."
Her mother smiles and starts to weep again.
"My baby is ok, she's ok.."
The day goes by. Nothing important happens. Doctors and Nurses keep entering the room, check her stats and telling her how strong she is. Yoshiro doesn't mind the comments she was more concerned with how 7 months have passed since she had first arrived there. It only felt like a few days to her. But after a couple more hours pass she pushes it aside and just accepts it.
On the second day her mom is the only one that visits her at the hospital, her father was at work. Her mother sits beside the bed knitting and talking to her daughter. Talking was essential, the doctor had said. Yoshiro's speech had been impaired, it wasn't serious. It was an easy fix. Just continue talking to her and her speech will improve on it's own. And that's what her mother did. It was still hard for Yoshiro to speak but she tried hard to respond, even if they were short answers. Then her mother asked her a question.
"When you were in that deep sleep what did you feel?"
It took her awhile to compile the word but she answered.
"Lonely..."
"Dark..."
Her mother's eyes started to tear up.
"But....Dream"
"You had a dream"
Yoshiro shook her head yes.
"Good dream....Little girl...A...a...angel"
"You saw a little girl and she was an Angel. What did the angel do?" Her mother's eyes filled with tears, not of sadness but with joy. She interpreted this as an angel watching over her daughter while she was in the coma.
"F..food and promise."
"She gave you food and made a promise....What type of promise?" He mother was now intrigued
" Promise to protect... and to be special, after that...white light."
"She brought you back to us didn't she?"
"Yes.."
"What a good angel"
Yoshiro's mother goes over to her and hugs her.
"She sent me my baby back" she weeps into her daughters hair.
The sound of a clock going off is heard. It is as if time slows down in that moment. A puff of cold air fills the room and the hospital door opens slowly, not making a sound.
The angel walks in. She still wears her pale pink dress, with no shoes just bare feet. She walks in all happy and curious.
"I've never seen a building like this in the spiritual world, how pretty."
"Why... why are..."
"Oh, you can't talk like normal, I can fix that." She snaps her fingers once.
Yoshiro exhales out loudly. "How did you-"
"Our promise remember, we shared our blood, you let me in. If anything bad happens to you, I can fix it. I won't let you get sick or die, I can heal you"
Shiro runs up to her on the bed and stands at her bedside. Her mother still frozen.
"I will be your SP, and you, my master."
"Why me""
"Because he has chosen to be the 1"
"The one?"
"I told you that you are special, and i was right. The one protects your world and mine."
"But i'm just a-" She is interrupted by the same clock sound. The one she heard minutes ago. Shiro looks at the hospital door which she came through.
"I have to go... but i still have time..." She looks back at Yoshiro.
"I came to awaken your eyes, i have to do it now before i go, so I have to hurry up.
Shiro gets on the bed and places her small hands over Yoshiros eyes.
"What are you-"
"Open!!" she yells the she draws her hands back to her side.
Yoshiro blinks multiple times but her eyes won't adjust like they did before.
"It'll take a minute before you can see, i have to go now, I will see you soon and when I do you will be awake."
Shiro leaves through the door she came through, and time starts to go back to normal.
Her mother stops hugging her daughter and sits back in the chair. She continues to talk but Yoshiro isn't listening anymore. She's in shock. She stares at the window in the room. Her eyes now adjusted. She can see black specs floating through the air. They weren't there before she thinks. She passes them off as bugs until she sees a lizard like animal with small wings fly by and eat them.
She was now awaken to the REAL world. No longer blind to the monsters and spirits that normal humans can't see. She had the accept the fact that shiro wasn't lying that she was really the One, whatever that means.....
Those events occured 16 years ago. It was her first encounter with the new world, with her first SP, and with the idea that she was the one. Now, all these topics are normal to her. In those 16 years, she had traveled in between both worlds multiple times, she became well known in the spiritual world, and learned a lot of each kingdoms history. The monsters she saw as a child were now her friends and they respected one another. She had grown up to be formidable leader, in her opinion. Nothing to complicated has occurred in the worlds yet, but she keeps up oher training, just in case. She doesn't expect it yet but something is coming....
