Chapter 3: Little Birdie

A man sits on a throne. Next to him lays a black lion, it sleeps. The room is filled wall to wall in T.V screens, only a few are on. No t.v programs or shows are airing through, they're showing live footage of war on the planet earth. A chess board sits on a table right in front of him. There are only two black pieces on it, the white pieces dominate the majority of the board.

The man sighs, then speaks, " Oh, the time will come soon, darkness will come upon us."

He chuckles a little then continues on "This will be the generation that falls, that fails their beloved God... the worlds will break and be mine again..."

Knocking is heard from a door located on the far right of the room.

"Come in" The man says, he stays seated.

Another man walks in, his features are unclear because of the darkness in the room, but his voice is soft and low, it's calming.

"My brother and my king, the familiar you sent to survey the One is dead, it went off the graph a few minutes ago"

"That is not a problem, we will send another one soon, they are replaceable after all."

"That is not all my king, the cat spoke, the microphone placed on him recoded and interaction with him and the One."

"And?" There is interest in his voice.

"My king, he told the One that darkness is coming, that You are coming."

The man on the throne crosses his legs and put his pointer finger on the side of his head.

"How annoying, and here I wanted to go unnoticed..." He says to himself.

"It was a tick cat, correct"

"Yes, a kitten to be precise"

"Did it have a family?"

"Yes, a fairly large one. It was born in a litter of 13, and the mother seems to be pregnant again"

"Kill them all, we don't need anymore little birds peeping out anymore information."

"Yes my king." The man bows and leaves through the door he came through, He closes it without a sound.

The man is alone again, As he sits on the throne he sighs and then whistles. The black lion that had stayed still gets up and stares at him. There is a large star on the forehead of the beast.

"You will be sent to earth soon, take the other lions with you too. Test the One, see how strong she and her SF's are, report to me within the next 24 hours of the mission"

The lion roars in response and starts to walk away. In a few seconds the lion is gone.

"Hopefully this familiar doesn't fail me too." He says whispering to himself

It's now the afternoon.

The three girls are in the living room, sitting on different sofas. Nova is brushing her fur, Yoshiro is on a laptop and shiro is scrolling through a tablet.

"The damage that was caused to the park this morning has been cleared up." Shiro shows the tablet to yoshiro.

"It's like the cat wasn't even there, The clean up crew does a really good job"

"It wasn't even that big of a mess, they just had to water down the area." Yoshiro responds not looking up from the computer. Her fingers are typing away at a document.

"So, what are you doing? I haven't seen you use a computer since the last time we went to the spiritual world, That was what, 6 years ago" She turns the tablet off and sets it beside her.

"You just answered your own question"

Nova stops brushing her fur and faces yoshiro. "You Joking right?"

Yoshiro glances at her, "Partly, we're not going i'm just seeing if there's any information that they have about darkness and a king"

"The cat thing is still bothering you"

"Yes, and why wouldn't it? If something happens to the earth and the spirit world, it falls on me, I have to check out everything that happens"

"It's true, if something does happen we have to take of it and as of now we don't have much help, if a problem arises we gotta take it out at the very beginning." Nova sighs.

"I forget they haven't all been found yet..."

Yoshiro stops typing and closes the laptop slowly. "We still need 7 of the tens...2 and 3 haven't been able to find them and neither have I..."

"If what that cat said is true, we will need all 10 members.,,,"

"But the cat could be lying and just trying to cause panic, we could handle it ourselves."

Yoshiro smiles. "We could, and your right, that cat could be lying. But just in case I have already sent the message to the kingdoms."

"They'll probably just say it's a rumor or something, no need to worry"

"So now that that's out of the way, let's go get lunch! Preferably something meaty"

"You mean sweet"

They leave the house, as soon as the door closes behind them, the tablet that shiro was using gets a notification from the WISE kingdom.
