The three girls had stayed out all day, all thanks to Nova. She dragged them along to the mall and other shopping outlets, then to nail salon, and later to boutique store. The dog they have has adopted an expensive taste for Human Beauty,

The sun has already set, it is around 8:30 pm, They walk up to the front door, and Nova takes out key, as the other girls are busy holding her stuff.

"Oh, wasn't today just so much fun?"

"Only for you...Since you kept running off I couldn't go to the cupcake shop"

"Awe, sorry about that Shiro, I'll treat you to them the next time we go shopping"

"So i'm guessing tomorrow?

Nova laughs at this, but stops suddenly, she drops the keys that were in her hands. Her ears perk up, and move around in the air.

"Woah Nova, whats wrong?"

"Something's here, it just entered our perimeter."

"What is it?" Yoshiro asks, she sets down the shopping bags and begins to stretch her legs. She's preparing to run.

"I don't know... I can hear one- three, no... I can hear a lot of them"

After she says that multiple roars are heard, some closer then the others. Yoshiro heads outside and a family stands outside. A woman talks to her kids.

"Take these in, the thunder means it's gonna rain soon" the family walks into one of the neighboring houses.

"If they hear Thunder, and we hear a roar, that means it's a spirit world" yoshiro tells herself, then yells it to the others.

"There's 6 of them.... For a fact there's 6" Nova says now sure in her numbers.

"Why so many???" Yoshiro thinks then proceeds to give orders.

"We need to split up, find whatever is making the sound and kill on sight, and this means that Shiro, will no longer be benched, at this point we need all the help we can get"

"Oh yes finally!" shiro drops the shopping bags on the floor

After that, they proceed to head in different directions of the city they live in. Yoshiro heads towards the ore crowded area of the city, Shiro heads towards the more quieter neighborhoods, and Nova heads to the parks and other nature parts of the city.

The sun has now completely set, the only light now are that of passing cars and street lamps. Everything else is dark, Yoshiro walks around the shopping district, which isn't as crowded as usual, it's a weekday, not many people go out on weekdays. She walks in between alleys looking for whatever made the noise or clues of what it could be.

There's nothing for a while, not even a second roar. A couple minutes passed, and then she sees the carcass of a stray cat. It had been ripped apart and partly eaten. It stomach was gorged open and half of its face had been ripped off. She stands there, staring at it, it doesn't disgust her like it used to, after all these years of being a Ten, a One, she's seen worst things and learned to cope with it.

"The creature had to be the one that did this" She says to herself, she's in full evaluation mode.

"There's no other species on earth that would eat like this, so it has to be from the spiritual world" She walks closer to the cats dead body and studies it.

"Deep impressions on bone mean sharp teeth... it has to be a predator and even more so a big one" She starts to get up before she sees something glowing in the corner of alley. There eyes, she stares at it and they stare back, They don't break contact, even when Yoshiro gets up. It just hides and watches quietly.

She inches towards it but it still refuses to move. It isn't until she activated the bracelet on her wrist, that the creature moves. Out of the shadow, a paw pokes out, and then another. Yoshiro stops in place and stands her ground. She waits for the creature to reveal itself, with her bracelet now activated and a blade sticking out from it, she's ready for whatever is to come.

A few more seconds pass and the creature reveals itself. It's a black male lion. These types of lions only exist in the spirit world. They are larger than the lions in the human world, quite larger. They carry a lot of weight to them, which makes them quite strong and therefore harder to control.

She notices a star shaped scar on t

he beasts forehead.

"A familiar...what a person it's master must be" She says to herself.

The lion starts to circle her, none of them make a move. More time passes, and after a minute the lion leaps in her direction. She swings but the only thing she hits was air. The lion had jumped over her. by the time she turned around, it was gone. It had disappeared into the night.
