I yawned as I woke up and looked down to see Dahvie smiling up at me. I just shook my head and laughed. I snuggled into him under the blankets and shut my eyes. I sighed contently. We laid there for a couple minutes and decided we should get up and look for a beach. I got up and stretched out my sore tight muscles. I grabbed some food and water out of the bag and gave some to Dahvie. We have to conserve our food until we can find something edible. We finished up our food and out the door we went.

We walked until we heard a noise. We stopped dead in our tracks as we came face to face with a bear. I was scared for my dear life. I tried staying as still as possible. Dahvie stood there with his lip quivering as I whispered for him to be quiet. They can sense fear if close. We stood for another moment and then the bear walked away. As soon as it was out of earshot we let out our breaths that we kept in. Dahvie clung to me shaking. I rubbed his back and we started walking again.

We walked for what seemed to be another two hours and we found something. We found a plant with a lot of berries on it. I studied the berries because I can decipher if berries are poisonous or not. I examined the little berry. It didn't have the signs that it's poisonous. I tasted it and it was absolutely delicious. I pulled the bag off my shoulder and grabbed a plastic bag that was in it. Dahvie and I picked the berries and put them in the bag. After we filled it up I sealed the bag and put it away. I grabbed out my map and drew a picture of a berry bush a little farther up northeast. I slung the bigger bag over my shoulder and we started walking again.

I looked over at Dahvie and he looked like he was getting dehydrated so I grabbed a water bottle out of my bag and gave it to him. He thanked me quietly and drank. He gave me the bottle back and I drank some. I put the bottle back into the bag. I had to take a piss so I stopped Dahvie and told him to stay there. I walked over to a tree and unzipped my pants. I peed and zipped them back up. I walk back over to Dahvie and told him to follow. We walked into a sunny area. The sun beat down onto us and I took my shirt off. I decided to mark this place on the map as 'sunny area'.

We walked for another hour and we needed to take a rest. We sat down for about 5 minutes and talked about when we find shelter and the beach. I pulled out another water bottle and drank some more. I got up and put my hand out for Dahvie. He grabbed it and I pulled him up. I looked through the trees in the direction we were going and saw the ocean. Bingo. That must be the beach if not a hill or something. I grabbed Dahvie's hand again and pulled him along with me to that area. Turns out it was the beach.

I was excited knowing we finally found it. I pulled out my map and drew where the beach would be. I dropped my bag near the shore and ran into the water. I float on my back while Dahvie came and joined me. We splashed each other for a bit playing games in the water. I dunked him he dunked me. We were in our own perfect little world. The sun was starting to go down in the sky and I quickly got out of the water.

"Hey Dahvie. We need to head back. The sun's setting." I called out to him.

"Okay. Hold on." He yelled back. I put my shirt back on after I shook my hair. I grabbed the bag and put it over my shoulder again. We started walking into the grassy area again. We talked on the entire way back until we ran into another thing. We were walking and laughing about something and I noticed something moved in the bushes. I instructed Dahvie not to move. In a minute Dahvie was jumping around on one foot holding his other ankle.

"What's wrong?" I asked totally panicking.

"I took a step and I hurt my ankle. It hurts really bad." He started crying biting his lip. He was in a lot of pain. I told him to sit down. I gave him the bag to hold. I took my shirt off again and wrapped it around his ankle. I then squatted down and told him to get on my back. I carried him to the plane. The sun had set and I put him in the door. I grabbed the bag off his back and put it in the corner. I told him to get on the couch so I could check his ankle. I unwrapped my shirt off it and carefully examined it. It was bruised pretty badly and it was throbbing erratically. I went and grabbed a water bottle from the bag and poured some of it on his ankle. He hissed as soon as the cool water came in contact with his ankle. I bandaged it up again and told him to take it easy. I laid him down in bed and covered him up good.

"Can you hand me my notebook and that pen?" He asked pointing to it. I got up and grabbed them off the table and handed them to him. I also grabbed some alcohol and food. I went over and sat back down next to him looking over his shoulder.

"What are you writing?" I asked curiously.

"I'm keeping a log about what went on each day we're here." He said and I nodded. I watched him write today's status. 'Day two. Today Jayy and I went and searched the northeast of this island and found a couple of helpful things: a berry bush and the beach. The beach is pretty big and along the way there was a really sunny area that could be useful. We found this berry bush that was really good tasting. We put as much as we could in a bag to save for later. I also sprained my ankle because I got freaked out when a bush moved. I need to learn to be more careful out here. I hope my ankle will heal within a couple days because I want to explore more of the island.' He stopped writing and put the notebook down. I turned out the lights and cuddled into him under the blankets.

"Good night my teddy bear. I love you." I whispered into his hair. He yawned and cuddled into me further.

"Good night Jayybear. Love you too." He said. We drifted into sleep awaiting the next day.
