CHAPTER FOUR
the one at the pharmacy
warnings: mentions of blood"HOLY SHIT, WHAT happened to you?"
By the time the words had left Richie's mouth, Ashley was already stepping into the water, making her way over to Ben, while Eddie on the other hand was panicking and ranting to Richie about how 'This kid could have a disease!' Or something like that.
"What happened? Are you okay?" Ashley asked, beginning to help Ben to his feet.
"Had a meet and greet with Henry Bowers," Ben replied, "Do you guys happen to have any like, bandaids or something?"
Ash shook her head, "No. Besides, your shirt seems like, really bloody. I don't think a few bandaids will do the trick."
"The ph-ph-pharmacy isn't to far from here," Bill told the group, "They hah-have medical supplies there."
"Okay. Ben, you good with going there?" Ashley asked, turning to the kid who was now shaking standing up and holding the site of his stomach. Ben nodded, and Ash looked at the others, "And you guys?"
"Fine with me. How's he gonna get there though? We only have our bikes." Stan pointed out, and Ashley furrowed her eyebrows.
"You're right. He can ride on the back of one of our bikes?" Ashley suggested, glancing at Ben, who just shrugged and nodded in return. A smile laced Ashley's lips.
"Great!" Ash exclaimed, before helping Ben walk towards the bikes.
"Lets go then, before he bleeds out and dies or some shit, then we'll have a lot more on out hands." Richie said, to which Ashley shook her head.
"He's not gonna die, Richie! Actually, he could have some sort of disease. Or maybe an infection. You know, my mom had a friend who's dad once got an infection in his arm, and she said it almost killed him, so God knows what could happen to this kid and-"
"Eddie! You're not helping!"
♡
IT TOOK A FEW MINUTES, but soon enough, the group of kids were on their way to the pharmacy. Ben was on the back of Bill's bike, and Eddie was back to rambling to Stan and Ash.
"I think it's great that that we're helping the new kid but we also need to think to out safety," Eddie said, though neither Stan or Ash were paying much attention to that, "I mean, he's bleeding all over, and you guys know there's an AIDs epidemic right now as we speak, right? And my moms friend in New York City got it by- just by touching a dirty pole in a subway and a drop of AIDs blood got into his system through a hangnail! A hangnail!" Eddie exclaimed.
"And- and you can amputate legs and arms but- but how do you amputate a waste? How do you amputate a waste?!" He added, and Ashley let out a sigh of relief as they turned around the corner and into an alleyway that would help lead them to the pharmacy.
