Jackson. Not bad.

I walked out and quickly caught up to Nathan. The king didn't seem to have noticed our absence but Nathan did and he looked at me questionningly and i muttered matter of factly, "Door got stuck." And he simply smiled knowingly which i rolled my eyes to.

We went back to the staircase hall and there was another guy waiting. Tall, muscled and handsome. Description

I wonder if all the guys around here look like that.

The king introduced him as Ethan something, the third in command and the top warrior and the trainer of the guards. He bowed to the king then addressed me.

"You may call me Alex."

"How do you get Alex from Ethan?" i questioned

"It's because of me." Nathan chuckled as he walked up and leaned on his shoulder with his arm.

Ethan explained, "Alex is my middle name. I use it because Ethan is too close to Nathan and i don't want people confusing me with him whenever he gets in trouble." Nathan smiled fondly at that.

"Noted." I generalised my comment.

So Nathan is a trouble maker and obviously very proud of I and Alex is a by the rules kinda guy got to remember that for later.

The king then said, "He will introduce you to the guards. Now if you will excuse my son and me." He didn't wait for a reply. He just turned and went up the stairs to his wing. Jackson followed him but then stopped and turned towards me and winked then continued on his way. I started blushing then I got angry at myself for reacting that way.

"Scarlett Rose-,"

"Call me Scar." I interrupted Alex without turning towards him as I glared at Jackson's back as he went up the stairs and disappeared.

"Scar," I turned towards Alex, "would you like to meet the royal guards?" he continued and swept his hand towards the direction we were going with a light bow.

"Lead on." I mimicked his action.

He went down the corridor that was underneath the south wing. It was long and seemed to have only 2 doors and by the smell of it the second one lead to the kitchen.

After a while of walking we emerged out of the back of the palace. There was about five square kilometres of training ground. At the left was a gruelling looking obstacle course but the rest was left bare for both human and wolf training. There was a bunch of warriors training at the moment. I could tell from where I was standing that they were really good but just needed a few pointers to make them better.

Nathan whistled sharply and I winced at the noise since it was directly next to my ear. He noticed my reaction and turned to me so I glared at him. He turned red then apologised while rubbing the back of his neck. He quickly took a few steps forward to address the approaching warriors and escapes my signature glare.

It took them thirty seven seconds to all arrive.

They need to be faster

"Guys, I have an important announcement to make." Nathan said addressing them all. They all looked expectantly at him so he continued.

"We will now be receiving training from the scarlet rose as a way of better defending the kingdom..."

"From hunters and rouges like me." I finished off for him while stepping forward.
