Chapter 4 - Friends

Ever since I saw Shuichi being bullied, I've been staying by his side when he goes out of the room. He didn't ask for it though. I just want him to be safe by all means, but because of this I wasn't able to hang out with Seitaro that much. Right, time to introduce him to Shuichi-- I should have already done this when I became close to Shuichi, my bad.

Lunch break has come for today, I asked Shuichi to wait for me at the classroom door. I went over to Seiatro and dragged him with his food. "Hey, I have something to tell you." I said while trying to get him out of his seat. "Then, just tell me." He replied. "No-- not here, Seitaro." I said back. He became silent and just followed my lead.

We went to the garden along with Shuichi. I let them sit next to each other. We ate in silence, I giggled for a bit. "Hmm? Why are you laughing, Amami?" Seitaro asked. "I just remembered that it was also like this when Shuichi and I first met." I replied, smiling.

A little while later, Seitaro offered his right hand to Shuichi while introducing himself. Shuichi did the same and the shake hands. "Umm-- Seitaro? A-Are you mad?" Shuichi suddenly asked this weird question. "Why'd you ask?" Seitaro asked back. "I somehow... got Amami to protect me a lot the past days." He replied then apologized. "Naah, his friend should also be my friend. There's no reason for me to get mad at you." He said and smiled back.

They continued talking for a while-- I can tell that they both like many things. At least Shuichi's not stuck just talking to just one person. I'm happy that I got to introduce themselves. Ever since then, Shuichi would approach the both of us and ask us to hang out with him after school, which was always a 'yes'.

I thought that this school year will be same as last year-- quite boring, but when Shuichi came, something changed. Although I think it's not that much of a change, Seitaro and I got to try new things-- same to Shuichi.

Thank you, Shuichi...

Today is now Friday, we're supposed to go to Shuichi's house and he'll introduce us to his parents. I'm nervous... but excited. I have never been invited to go to someone else's house other than Seitaro. What are Shuichi's parents like? It keeps ringing in my head. Well, we'll find out later.

I asked Seitaro if he was ready to go but unfortunately his mom asked him to go home early, which he did. So it's just me who'll go. Ugh, this makes me even more anxious, but it would be rude not to go now. I followed Shuichi to the school gate and waited for their car. "Come!" He said while grabbing my hand. He seems excited for this-- THIS IS MAKING ME EVEN MORE NERVOUS.

And so the trip began without a doubt. "We're going on an hour trip, Amami. I'm sorry for that." He said. "N-No it's perfectly fine." I said while shaking my head. He held my hands again. "Thank you for coming today. I promise you'll have fun later." He said, smiling. I felt my face heat up a little bit, I blushed then smiled back.

Okay...

I'm relaxed now-

I'm ready to meet your parents...
