Lessons Never Learnt

Three year ago

          She had no school, so she returned early without notice. Walking house by house until she got to her house. Her parents used to not lock the doors so she slipped right into her home. She got inside and went straight to her bed.

       She woke up with the sound of the door. She thought one of her parents might've gotten home. What a wonderful day she thought, the same happened to her. She got up, fixed her skirt and went running to her parents. She noticed she was hungry. When she almost got to the kitchen, she heard a voice that was a female voice but wasn't her mother’s. She hid behind the wall. Listening.

"So good to see you. Haven't seen you in forever, I missed you." said the female voice and after that came the sound of a kiss.

"I missed you too Lexia" now that was the voice of her father. She heard more sounds  of kisses. Clank clank. That sounded like heels. Clank. Belt. She poked out her head and watched her father in the personal space of that women. With more sound of kisses; they were undressing themselves really fast. She stared of what was going on. She couldn't believe. Is this love? Is this sex? She thought confused of what her father was doing. She saw them undress eachother and his dad introduce his penis to the vagina of that women. She ran upstairs and locked her doors.

           After hours passed her mother came knocking on the door. “Baby, are you in there?” called her mom scared that her daughter was locked inside. The little girl opened the door crying she hugged her mom. “Its ok baby. These kinds of things happen.” but the mother didn't know what her child had witnessed.

          Days went on normally and everything was normal. Her father didn't change a bit, nor did the mom. Was it a nightmare? Later on during that month, the child had forgotten what she had seen of  many days after that went by.

          On a lovely sunday sunny morning, the mother was putting her a white dress with sunflowers, yellow ribbon on her waist and cute pastel yellow ballerina shoes. The little girl was ready to leave with her kids bible on hand. The mother put on her lipstick, grabbed her Bible and set off. "Mommy, why can't daddy come with us?" the little girl asked saddened.

"He has work, baby. Just be good. We'll see him for lunch after church."

         At church the little girl watched the priest, glowing. He was all in white, so bright that she was getting sleepier and sleepier by how the light was blinding her. She sat there listening to the priest talk about sins. She sat up straight when she heard the priest scream in fury. She sat there now paying attention on how mad the priest seemed. The priest screamed “Thou shalt not commit adultery. The sixth and ninth commandments honor human sexuality. This commandment forbids the actual, physical act of having immoral sexual activity, specifically adultery, which is sex with someone else’s spouse or a spouse cheating on their partner. This commandment also includes fornication, which is sex between unmarried people, prostitution, pornography, homosexual activity, masturbation, group sex, rape, incest, pedophilia, bestiality, and necrophilia.” she opened her eyes not believing what she was hearing. She knew someone that was committing the sin of this commandment. She gasp. Her mother heard her and shushed her, for she did not know what the little girl knew.

After the priest finished his preaching, the little girl went running to the priest. “Sir, I know someone who is committing this sin.” she looked at the priest with sad eyes, waiting impatiently for his response.

“Young one, that is not up to us to judge. That is up to God to have or not to have mercy on them.” The priest gave her a hug. “Do not worry, if the person is causing you pain, or anyone you love, at the end, he/ she will face the consequences.” he smiled so that the girl will smile back and not worry.
