Florence Saint
My first day and I'd already screwed up. I just wanted to go home already. Well, home. Which reminded me, that on my day off I needed to move all my stuff from my old apartment to this one on the grounds. I packed up a bag and sighed. I opened the door to my office and threw my bag over my back. I locked up my office then went to make sure I had locked Styles in.
"Where are you off to Saint?" Styles said quietly.
"That's officer Saint to you. And you don't need to know where I'm going" I said and I made sure I doubly locked the cell.
"I get so lonely here" Styles said and I rolled my eyes.
"Then you shouldn't of done the shit that landed you in here" I said and walked off.
Mr Andrews' door swung open as soon as I walked past. "Florence? Might I talk for you for a second?" He smiled and I nodded tiredly. I walked into his office. I sat down in the white chair opposite him and slung down my bag to the side. "How was your first day on the job?" He smiled and I sighed.
"It was tiring, I forgot my key in Styles cell, I was late to get Harry to dinner and was made fun of by another guard. So, it wasn't the best" I said and rubbed my head across my forehead.
"First day is always the worst Miss Saint, and I know going back to a prison apartment isn't as good as home but I promise they're nicer than you think." He reassured me and I nodded. "I'll walk you back" Sam said but I shook my head.
"No no I'll be fine" I said but he reassured me that it wasn't far and he wanted to.We walked to a full apartment block that was only a five minute walk away from the prison. Sam walked me up to the top apartment, the penthouse, the only room on this floor. I used my key to open the door and admired my new home. It was nice in terms of size. It was huge with one big bedroom a huge living area and kitchen and a large bathroom.
"I think once I make it my own it will be ok" I said.
"Your day off is Sunday so you can decorate. You're here on your own so there shouldn't be interrupted" sam said and I thanked him.
"Where did you come from Miss Saint I'd like to know more about you" Sam said and like a child jumped onto the kitchen counter and I unbuttoned the first two buttons on my shirt.
"Oh erm there's not much to say. I grew up in a small village in Kent. Moved to London for uni did a course in law and did a year of police training and now I'm here" I said and he nodded.
"Tough girl coming to work here"
"I can handle myself Mr Andrews." I said quickly back.
"Oh I have no doubt of that Miss Saint. That's why I put you with Styles. I should be getting back but, here's my number, give me a text or call whichever, I'll answer" he said with a wink and walked out of the apartment.I put his number down and hunted for the WiFi as any normal person would do. Once I had it I changed out of my uniform into my black pair of pyjamas and went straight to the fridge, I needed to stress eat. I opened the fridge and I thought there would be nothing in there but I opened it and saw a little plastic box.On top was a note, Enjoy it. Sam Xx.
"When the hell was he in my house?" I said to myself but happily took the ham sandwich and ate it contently. Today was a tough day and the enjoyment I felt after finishing my food, doing my facial routine and getting into bed was unlike any enjoyment I had ever felt. I set my alarm for the morning and lie in bed overlooking my day.
Harry defended me against Watson after I screwed up, he helped me get through the day when I messed up with my keys, and I had no idea why he would do that for me. He was the only one supporting me, and he was an inmate.
I decided to do some research on him just to find out who he really was.
Harry Styles, former singer turned reckless with drugs and alcohol. Singer? I clicked onto a video of the familiar inmate and it was one of his performances. I was surprised. He had a beautiful voice and such a positive presence about him. It made me wonder why he would screw all that up for himself by messing with drugs and alcohol like an idiot.
I looked on social media for him and saw that loads of girls would love to be in my place with tweets saying they'd be jealous of his guard. It confused me to think they're so supportive of him even when he's done wrong and landed himself in a London high security prison.
That lead me to another thought. Why is he in high security? He's not a murderer, so he shouldn't be in maximum security, he should be in minimum security. He's not a dangerous person as such. Well, I didn't think so.
I grabbed my phone and the piece of paper with Sam's number and rung it.
"Mr Andrews?"
"Miss Saint what a pleasant surprise" He said with a groggy voice.
"Sorry if I woke you up I just had some questions" I said sitting up in bed and closing off my laptop.
"Of course, I thought you might." He said laughing lightly. "However Miss Saint, it is very late and I've just come home, but tomorrow is Sunday. We both have our day off on Sunday so I would be very happy to answer your questions over dinner tomorrow."
"Dinner? You want to have dinner with me after knowing me for not even a day?" I smiled to myself but shook off the smile at the thought of him being my boss.
"Yes Miss Saint. But strictly for business questions only" he said seriously and I nodded.
"Thank you Mr Andrews" I said.
"I will pick you up tomorrow at eight Miss Saint and take you to one of my favourite places." He said and I thanked him before hanging up and putting my phone on the dresser. What am I getting myself into?
