Access Granted
You placed your bag under the empty space below the chair in front of yours. You relaxed back into your seat as you would've to spend another four hours on this bus. Other travellers started to fill up the empty seats of the bus as well and soon the engine started to cue the start of the journey to Daegu.
It had been a while since you've gotten a break from college so you decided to visit your Grandmother. She did say there is someone picking you up but you didn't know who it was.
You closed your eyes to drift off to sleep as the number of sleepless nights you had spent to complete your final assignments were countless and it tired you out.
Unfortunately, it didn't take long for your beautiful sleep to get interrupted by the loud cry of a child, bickering of the couple and rowdy conversations of group of aunties who traveled with you. You let out a sigh and sat up straight in your sleep. You were thankful that you didn't have to share a seat with anyone else so you grabbed your bag and placed it on the other seat.
You decided to listen to music or watch the dramas that you've downloaded inside your laptop. While searching for a particular device, you spotted something that didn't belong inside.
It was a book that you've never seen before. A rather old brown book that seemed magical like those you've seen in the movies. Since you've nothing better to do, you decided to check the book out of curiosity.
You hummed as you turned the pages until it reached to blank pages.
"That's it?"
There was only one story and after that page only a title was written,
Chapter 2, Red Riding Hood.
You flipped the pages, hoping for more stories but it was just filled with empty white pages.
You closed the book and placed it aside. Leaning back into your seat, your eyes started feeling heavy and the eyelids soon closed as you drifted off to dreamland.
A kid ran down the bus and the mother scolded him as he did. However, that didn't wake you up despite the noise. When he went past your seat, the pages of the book flipped along with the wind that blew across due to his running. The book stopped at the page where only the title was written.

You let out a whine when you heard a loud cry of an animal. You wondered why there would even be an animal on the bus. You believed it was just your imagination and continued sleeping. It was only when you heard another wolf cry, you snapped yourself awake.
